WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

The Nike Intelligence Center (NIC) seeks an ambitious and creative professional to support the Intelligence Innovation team. As a Capabilities Analyst, you will break down complex requirements and build, source, and enhance technology-based capabilities that produce valuable intelligence. A successful candidate will be highly collaborative and demonstrate a willingness to master new technologies.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON

You will partner with team members across the enterprise to design, build, source, and enhance a suite of industry-leading intelligence capabilities that enable decision-making. You will lead the evolution of these capabilities from requirement gathering stages, to development, on through deployment and maintenance. You will obsess the implementation of these new capabilities, working closely with end users and team members to refine each product and anticipate future needs. You will innovate on the technologies our team uses today and keep a pulse on those used throughout the industry to ensure Nike maintains a competitive advantage. Your work will empower global teammates to understand complex issues, analyze large amounts of data, and develop useful intelligence.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH

The NIC provides intelligence that serves enterprise decision-makers and is comprised of professionals with a broad spectrum of experiences. The NIC is part of the Resilience organization which, led by Nike's Chief Security Officer, helps make Nike stronger. We cut through the noise and the spin to determine what is affecting Nike and highlighting where we need to focus our attention during turbulent times. Beyond the NIC, your partners will range from technology, procurement, and enterprise system and data teams to the downstream consumers of an ecosystem of products and systems.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Management, or related field of study or combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 1-3 years relevant work experience.
  • Expertise in SQL.
  • Proficiency in developing repeatable and efficient data automation to codify and simplify end-to-end processes and methods.
  • Experience with enterprise databases and cloud warehouses (Azure, Snowflake, AWS).
  • Experience leading the automation, simplification, and efficiency of manual data manipulation processes.
  • Experience with automation tools (Airflow, Alteryx, etc.).
  • Experience designing and implementing a business process into functional and efficient code.
  • Experience managing and tuning databases.
  • Proficiency with ArcGIS software preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications required.
  • Experience with Python, HTML, or JavaScript a plus.
  • Curiosity and life-long learner attitude who can quickly learn and adjust to new technology needs and advancements.
  • Self-motivated, with a high sense of accountability, urgency, and drive.
  • Skilled communicator who can express sophisticated concepts and ideas in a simple manner (written, presentation, and verbal).
  • A bias for action and always delivering results.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment, to include working on-call outside of normal business hours, as necessary.
  • Fluently read, speak, and write the English language is required.
  • Willing to relocate to Portland, OR area.
