Cardiology Opportunity

Mercy Health Physicians-Youngstown is seeking a motivated and capable board eligible or boardcertified Cardiologist to join our Heart and Vascular Institute.  This position entails a clinical cardiology focus and a mix of inpatient and outpatient coverage, including echo stress and cardiac imaging as appropriate to training and desire.   Candidates are expected to have completed fellowship training in Cardiology and be Board Eligible or Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.   

The Mercy Health Physicians Youngstown Heart & Vascular Institute is the largest and evergrowing practice in the region, with a total of 15 employed cardiologists with 4 interventional cardiologists and 3 EP specialists.  There are 10 advanced practice clinicians supporting delivery of care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.  Cardiology operates practices at 5 locations while serving 4 hospitals in the tri-county area.   

The Mercy Health Heart and Vascular group also includes 2 board certified Cardiothoracic surgeons and 4 board certified vascular surgeons.  The service line performs high volumes of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases annually.  This specialist team is highly integrated and collaborates on many levels, including a multidisciplinary valve clinic that supports a robust TAVR and Structural Heart Program.  This is the only TAVR program within an hour drive radius.  The hospital is a Level 1 trauma center, is a certified stroke center, also chest pain certified with PCI, and the only sepsis center of excellence in Ohio.

Call model 1:9 weeknights, 1:3 weekends.
