All about the role:
The MRO Category Manager resides within Electrolux's Group Purchasing organization. This role has the responsibility of sourcing and securing required Materials, Repair, and Operations management of indirect materials and services to support the best-in-class availability of Manufacturing Plants, Distribution Centers, Tech Centers, and Head Quarters customers. This is a strategic role that requires cross collaboration, expansive ideas, and close attention to detail. The MRO Category Manger is responsible to align and create buy-in from internal stakeholders/customers at a sector and global level on various assigned indirect material and service category strategies and initiatives.
What you'll do:
The MRO Category Manager is responsible for providing purchasing expertise and support to the various internal departments who utilize these assigned categories and support stakeholders in both vendor management and contract negotiation as needed. You will represent the Business Area in global category meetings, support the definition and implementation of the overall strategy where applicable for the Business Area and develop and implement sourcing activities. You will work to determine the best-in- class PTP process for the various sub-categories, lead internal and external analysis (industry and supplier) as a member of a cross-functional sourcing team as well as prepare and lead fact-based negotiation and supplier selections.
You will manage supplier relationships with key suppliers, including agreeing and tracking SLAs & KPIs and review supplier agreements to ensure commercial terms meet the needs of the business activity and liabilities are approved by the legal department. You will lead contract implementation through local indirect purchasers and resolves important issues and help to manage/evaluate contract compliance, data management and supplier performance and takes necessary corrective actions. From this, you will evaluate and renew contracts by identifying and prioritizing opportunities for reduction of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and assist in the implementation and expansion of procure to pay processes, procedures, and policies impacting assigned spend categories and works closely with the Accounts Payable department to roll out the online indirect materials purchase order system across all departments.

In detail, you will:
Manage the business strategically with the objective to leverage, to promote complexity reduction, simplification, modularization, cost performance and innovation driving including Supplier Development (Quality Improvement, productivity increase) and support sourcing decisions in close collaboration with the NA and Global Domain
Maximize buying efficiency, minimize supply disruption, and financial risks for the Business Areas.
Review and analyze supply base to identify cost-out opportunities; lead cross-functional and remotely located teams to implement and realize improvements.
Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models
Implement supplier agreements/contracts when beneficial by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions
Support the sourcing needs by interviewing and conferring with prospective suppliers to determine supplier capabilities, negotiate prices, delivery terms, and ensure best-in-class total cost sourcing solutions.
Regularly analyze supplier quality, delivery, and cost metrics to develop and engage for improvement.
Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities
Internalize EMA policies and practices, and successfully communicate and enforce with suppliers as well as internal resources to deliver on EMA strategic objectives.
Participates in pricing negotiation processes and uses creative ways to drive costs down through the establishment of long-term agreements.
Qualifications required:
BA/BS degree in Business or other related field or 7 equivalent years of experience
5+ years of relevant experience in purchasing, sourcing, category management within indirect material and services and MRO is preferred.
Demonstrated success in year-over-year cost reductions with knowledge of supplier processes and cost drivers.
Strong knowledge of the strategic sourcing methodology and its application
Strong analytical, financial, and business acumen to include should-cost modeling
Basic knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings
Ability to build business case solutions to conquer operational problems
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage strategic supplier relationships, including relationship building, performance, development, and integration.
Expertise in supplier processes and cost drivers
Ability to manage projects and establish clear goals and accountabilities to ensure successful delivery (on time, within budget, meeting agreed upon success criteria)
Experience in project leadership
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Familiarity with MRO (lead-times, tier-2 vendors, etc.)
Financial Lease modeling a plus
Bi-lingual in English/Spanish is very helpful
Where you'll be:
This position will be based at our North American headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina or our Manufacturing Campus in Springfield Tennessee. Possible International Travel Required.
