Change Coordinator

The Change Management and Launch Coordinator is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and executing a comprehensive change management program for the Hazel Park Plant that meets customer expectations, both internal and external. The individual will also assist the Program Management team by coordinating launch activities, including prototype builds, receiving and tracking of prototype components, supplier PPAP status, general communication of launch activity, and by participating in program launch meetings. In this position, the individual will be a key liaison between Hazel Park, Darmstadt, and PTC. The position requires an individual who is highly organized with good communication skills and with high attention to detail.

Job purpose

The Change Management and Launch Coordinator is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and executing a comprehensive change management program for the Hazel Park Plant that meets customer expectations, both internal and external. The individual will also assist the Program Management team by coordinating launch activities, including prototype builds, receiving and tracking of prototype components, supplier PPAP status, general communication of launch activity, and by participating in program launch meetings. In this position, the individual will be a key liaison between Hazel Park, Darmstadt, and PTC. The position requires an individual who is highly organized with good communication skills and with high attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and facilitate the change management process for the Hazel Park campus
• Manage and track internal/external changes to processes & products
• Be the subject matter expert for the change management system (etc. TeamCenter)
• Receive change notices from engineering technical center
• Review change notices for correctness and accuracy
• Assign proper Hazel Park approvers to change notices
• Notify appropriate Hazel Park personnel of released changes
• Monitor & encourage follow-up of change management tasks
• Transfer change requirements to Hazel Park change management system
• Communicate changes with affected team members
• Track changes to implementation
• Conduct weekly change management meetings
• Update parts catalog on BorgWarner Intranet/ SharePoint
• Receive and track prototype parts in appropriate systems (Excel, SAP, etc.)
• Support prototype and pre-production trial builds as appropriate
• Receive, monitor, and track PPAP parts and approval for new launches
• Provide annual TeamCenter training for appropriate attendees
• Monitor and follow up on eSCR (electronic change request) database for closure/approval.
• Change management liaison between Hazel Park, Darmstadt, & PTC (Technical Center)
• Provide weekly program launch presentation update
• Support external and internal audits as appropriate
• Perform internal quality audits, LPAs, and safety audits
• Update processes/ procedures as required
• Generate graphs, charts, and metrics as requested

What we're looking for

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor Degree strongly preferred
• Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teamcenter, etc.)
• High attention to detail
• Strong organizational communication skills
• Problem solving experience required (8D, 5-why, etc.)
• Ability to lead and facilitate regular meetings and assign action items
