We are seeking a Chief Java Developer to join our remote team. As the technical leader, you will oversee the strategic development and enhancement of critical systems, including Telephony and IVR, and align technology solutions with business goals. Responsibilities
- Direct an engineering team in building, operating, and refining our Telephony, IVR, and other essential internal tools to adapt to customer needs
- Concentrate on strategic planning and management, minimizing hands-on technical implementation
- Collaborate with product and design teams to comprehend requirements, solve complex problems, create roadmaps, and oversee all phases of project development
- Establish and uphold precise project timelines, ensuring task completion
- Guarantee delivery commitments are met through effective sprint planning and daily stand-ups, while fostering process enhancements
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team, nurturing a culture of collaboration, ownership, and excellence
- Promote career development and foster a team environment focused on inclusivity, product quality, and technical excellence
- Manage team performance, ensuring skills and behaviors align with company goals and communicating results effectively
- Lead Quality Inspections, Architecture Reviews, Design Reviews, Code Reviews, and Security Reviews to maintain high standards
- Exhibit leadership in setting documentation standards, promoting best practices in coding, and exemplifying professional conduct

- Holder of a bachelor's or master's degree
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in Java development
- At least 2 years of experience in leadership and team management
- Expertise in Spring Boot, with a deep understanding of its architecture and application in enterprise environments
- Proficient in Amazon Web Services, utilizing a range of AWS tools to optimize application performance and scalability
- Skilled in React.js, crafting responsive and efficient user interfaces
- Advanced knowledge of RESTful API design and integration
- Proficiency in GraphQL and Cucumber for enhanced API testing and development
- Experienced with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization, Git for source control, and Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment
- Familiar with Kibana and Datadog for effective monitoring and operational insights
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead effectively across diverse teams
- Fluent English communication skills at a C1 level or higher
- Advanced certification in Java or related technologies
- Experience with AI and machine learning integration in project solutions
- Record of successful large-scale software deployments in a distributed environment
