The Chief Marketing Officer for SharkNinja is directly responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization's marketing strategies and initiatives. The CMO's primary objective is to drive business growth, enhance brand awareness, and increase revenue through effective marketing campaigns and activities. 

Job Description:

  • Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy aligned with the company's business objectives. This includes identifying target markets, positioning the brand, and setting marketing goals.
  • Brand Management: Ensure consistent brand messaging and image across all marketing channels. Protect and enhance the company's brand reputation.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activities. Use data-driven insights to inform marketing decisions.
  • Digital Marketing: Oversee online marketing efforts, including website management, social media, email campaigns, search engine optimization (SEO), and digital advertising.
  • Product Marketing: Collaborate with product teams to develop marketing plans for new product launches and existing product updates.
  •  Communications (Internal/External) and Public Relations: Lead PR and communication strategies to maintain positive relationships with the media, stakeholders, and the public.
  • Marketing Budget and ROI: Manage the marketing budget and track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, ensuring a positive return on investment (ROI).
  • Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing and unstoppable marketing team. Set clear goals, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative work environment.
  •  Sales Alignment: Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure marketing efforts support sales objectives and facilitate lead generation and conversion.
  •  Customer Experience: Enhance directly and/or via partnerships with other functions, the customer experience through marketing efforts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Innovation: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovative marketing techniques. Introduce new marketing strategies and tools as appropriate.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field is typically required. An MBA and/or advanced degree preferred
  • Experience: Extensive (15+ years) experience in marketing, including leadership roles in marketing departments or agencies.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the CPG and/or retail and knowledge of market dynamics, customer behavior, and competition.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management abilities to inspire and guide the marketing team effectively.
  • Breakthrough Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term marketing strategies that align with overall business prioritized and the ability to be nimble.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in analyzing marketing data and using insights to drive marketing decisions and optimize campaigns.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey marketing plans and strategies to stakeholders.
  • Creativity: A creative mindset to develop innovative marketing campaigns and solutions.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing business environment.
