Civil Site Development Project Manager

Ardmore Roderick is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager to supervise and assist in the preparation of contract documents (plans, specifications, and cost estimates) for various land/site development projects in the Chicago Metro area. These projects may be related to institutional, healthcare, retail, and/or commercial land developments.

The successful candidate shall possess and demonstrate the following qualifications:

• 7+ years of civil engineering experience with at least 2 years of project management experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Construction Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Illinois
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D or MicroStation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Other valued qualifications include:

• Experience with managing small teams or projects
• Familiarity with City of Chicago Agencies, Permitting Procedures, and Standards
• Utility Coordination Experience
• Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM)
• Proficiency with ArcGIS, HEC-HMS, or HEC-RAS
• Ability to develop design scopes, fees and contracts to ensure understanding of project deliverables with client staff.

 Duties & Responsibilities:

• Primary contact between client and project team
• Lead client & internal project meetings, and delivery of final project to client.
• Manage and schedule execution of projects.
• Monitor projects productivity, quality, and progress.
• Supervise project team ranging from 1-2 junior engineers
