The opportunity

  • We're seeking a talented and driven Client Account Manager to join our Trade Credit & Surety Insurance team in a Christchurch based role, reporting to the Trade Credit & Surety Manager
  • Full autonomy to do both account management & business development through existing broker networks.
  • Customer facing role where you will develop and manage Broker & client relationships in Christchurch and South Island.

Your new role

As a Client Account Manager in our Trade Credit & Surety team, you will be the key point of contact for our valued clients. Your mission will be to manage and grow client relationships, ensuring they receive exceptional service and tailored insurance solutions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are understood and met.
  • Advise clients on trade credit and surety products that best fit their business requirements.
  • Oversee the entire client policy lifecycle, from inception to renewal, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Assess and manage client risks, providing insights to help shape policy terms.
  • Drive client retention through exceptional service while identifying opportunities to ensure they are protected.
  • Work across Trade Credit and Surety in the South Island region.
  • Be exposed to commercial, domestic and international cover
  • Provided with full training and support to your success.

About you

You are:

  • Customer centric and enjoy networking to develop both new business and build on existing relationships
  • Either confident with policy wording or can demonstrate the smarts to learn
  • Previous experience in insurance, banking and or financial services will lend itself well this role
  • Most importantly, you are eager to learn a niche area and can work autonomously but are supported by your team
