Job Description
About Mighty:
We’re redesigning the recovery process after an accident to ensure injured people get the legal, financial, mental health, and medical support they need to get back on their feet. As a consumer-centric tech startup, we’re doing it all in a way that challenges the bad behavior that exists in the traditional personal injury industry.Â
Our team at Mighty is full of talented individuals from top technology startups, insurance, law, and health tech companies who are eager to fix a broken system. We’re transparent and honest in our communication, we’re obsessed with building the best service for our customers, and we aren’t afraid to let our quirkiness and nerdiness shine through.Â
We’ve come a long way since launching but we’re just getting started - and we need your help to continue making access to holistic support after an accident more transparent, more accessible, and more just.
* Mighty is screening candidates for this role on behalf of Mighty Law.
The Role:
We are looking for freelance lawyers who are passionate about helping people and excited to leverage their sales and marketing skills to generate personal injury cases with Mighty Law. The ideal candidates excel in connecting with people and communities but don't want to get bogged down with administrative work. This is a fully remote (US Only) freelance contract role. This is a great fit for lawyers who are interested in supplementing their current work, earning additional income and having the flexibility to set their own hours.Â
Your Mandate:
- You’ll be a business card-carrying part of the Mighty Law team working to promote yourself and Mighty Law to generate personal injury cases from your personal and professional networksÂ
- Uncapped compensation based directly on performance: You'll earn up to half of the attorney's fees from each case you generate with the option to receive funds in advance of settlement
- Provide feedback to Mighty Law for how to improve our serviceÂ
- Partner with full-time Mighty Law lawyers who are working on your cases to make sure they’re doing an A+ job for the clients you bring inÂ
Support from Mighty and Mighty Law:Â
- A team of case managers, paralegals and fellow lawyers take the lead and guide your clients through their recovery journey from intake to settlement
- Marketing and sales resources to help you connect with your audience
- Best-in-class technology to facilitate case management, communication and transparency
- A Brand you can be proud of that’s challenging the personal injury industry to improve for everyone
Your Experience:
- A member in good standing of the bar in Connecticut, Alabama, Arizona, Maryland, Georgia, Illinois, or Texas
- 3+ years of legal experienceÂ
- Experience with personal injury cases a plus but not requiredÂ
- Tech-savvy
- A self-starter who is outgoing, energetic and entrepreneurial
Why work with Mighty Law?Â
One of the most important aspects of Mighty Law lawyers that makes them unique is the shared Code of Conduct they all agree to that ensures they are practicing the best standards of the Personal Injury industry. The Code of Conduct is designed to better align the incentives of our PI lawyers with the incentives of our clients.
If you’ve read the Code of Conduct and feel inspired, you’re going to make a great fit for our team.Â
About Mighty Law:
Mighty Law is a new type of personal injury law firm that prioritizes its clients’ outcomes over all else. Our lawyers have civil litigation experience, come from mission-driven backgrounds, and agree to a strict, first-of-its-kind Code of Conduct in order to provide a better, fairer, and less expensive service than traditional billboard injury lawyers. And, we do so by working with Mighty to help our clients get the support they need to recover physically, mentally and financially from an accident and its impact.Â
Mighty Law is currently accepting new clients who’ve been hurt in a motor vehicle accident, construction accident, workplace accident, and by premises negligence or slip and fall, in Connecticut, Georgia, Arizona, Alabama, Illinois, Maryland and Texas with plans to expand to additional states soon.
