Job Description
Headway’s mission is a big one – to build a new mental health care system everyone can access. We’ve built technology that helps people find great therapists with the first software-enabled national network of providers accepting insurance.Â
1 in 4 people in the US have a treatable mental health condition, but the majority of providers don’t accept insurance, making therapy too expensive for most people. Headway is building a new mental healthcare system that everyone can access by making it easy for therapists to accept insurance and scale their practice.Â
Headway was founded in 2019. Since then, we’ve grown into a diverse, national network of over 45,000 mental healthcare providers across all 50 states who run their practice on our software and have served over 1 million patients. We’re a Series D company with over $325m in funding from a16z (Andreessen Horowitz), Accel, GV (formerly Google Ventures), Spark Capital, Thrive Capital, Forerunner Ventures and Health Care Service Corporation.
We want your time here to be the most meaningful experience of your career. Join us, and help change mental healthcare for the better.
About the role:
At Headway, we aim to support our providers in offering high-quality, safe and effective clinical care. As Clinical Quality Manager, you will be in charge of our Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation Program and implement clinical quality monitoring initiatives. You will work cross functionally the Operations Compliance Teams, Growth, Payer, Engineering and Product teams, and other teams involved in building a clinical quality framework and managing the chart review workflows. This role requires a high level of multi-tasking in a fast paced, virtual environment.
You’ll be great for this role if:
- You are a clinician – have 8+ years of post-graduate experience as a PMHNP with experience both as a practicing provider as well as operating in a fast-paced, high growth business.Â
- You have extensive experience completing quality chart reviews and audits for healthcare delivery organizations and have trained others on how to document to meet standard of clinical care regulations
- You have experience with the supervision and training of clinicians
- You are a thought leader – with a demonstrated passion for reimagining how behavioral health quality is defined, measured, and operationalized. This likely means you’ve worked in traditional healthcare organizations, public health systems, and / or health care startups.
- You are a collaborator – eager and adept at working with product, operations, and sales teams to infuse clinical strategy across the org.
- You are an expert communicator and educator - with significant experience in conveying information to large and diverse groups of individuals. You have experience creating clinical quality and training resources and opportunities.Â
- You are an innovative and strategic thinker with a passion for improving behavioral health care and clinical quality.
- You have experience supervising clinicians or large teams of providers, with an emphasis on performance management
We believe a team's strength is in its people, and we cannot achieve this mission without a team that reflects the diversity of this problem - across race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, age, national origin, religion, family status, disability, military status, and experience.
