This opportunity is accountable for supporting the development and implementation of business-wide internal and external communications by collaborating with stakeholders to create relevant, polished writing, presentations, press releases, social media and web content, and reviewing work to ensure accuracy and adherence to organizational brand requirements. Role will support either the digital or editorial area.

This is a hybrid role incorporating some in-office time and remote working/working-from-home.

Primary Responsibilities • Assist with the management of our intranet and website, and keeps abreast of key employee engagement trends• Work closely with our communications business partners on a range of key projects and campaigns to ensure channel effectiveness is maximized• Assist with the development and implementation of new communication vehicles• Measure the success of communications strategies and tactics using analytics• Monitor trends and best practices to ensure effective and relevant materials are created• Manage calendar, planning efforts and upcoming deadlines to ensure timely delivery in alignment with stakeholder expectations• Responsibilities if supporting editorial:• Write and edit a variety of communications materials, including talking points and speeches, long and short-form employee communications, press releases and social media posts• Serve as a communications generalist and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on a variety of projects

Required Education • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Required Experience • 2 years relevant experience

Preferred Competencies/Skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Strong editing and proofreading skills• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills• Proven ability to get up to speed quickly in a complex business environment• A team player who can work effectively with virtual teams• Listen to and consider the views and opinions of others• Build constructive and cooperative working relationships• Familiar working within brand and style guidelines• Motivated and curious to learn new software tools and increase knowledge over time• For digital: Strong understanding and passion for digital communications channels and social media platforms

Preferred Experience
  • Insurance or real estate industry knowledge
  • At least two years working experience in a communications/agency/marketing environment


Preferred Knowledge • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365• Strong writer and editor with acute attention to detail

US Only - Physical Demands • General office jobs: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is not substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. Must be able to operate basic office equipment including telephone, headset and computer. Incumbent must be able to lift basic office equipment up to 20 lbs.
