DIGITAL STRATEGY / Responsible for developing and executing digital & social media recommendations for our clients.

***Our headquarters are in Stamford, CT, but the location of this position can be flexible. Priority will be given to candidates open to hybrid work (3 days a week in the office) in one of our office locations—Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Chicago, IL, Charlotte, NC, or Atlanta, GA.

***Please note this is a full time (40 hours/week) 6-month contract position***

The Community Manager will be key in building, maintaining, and nurturing a loyal and engaged community for our client in the collegiate sports space. You will be responsible for running our brand client’s X and Instagram channels, wearing multiple hats, and being a copywriter and hands-on keyboard lead.

This role will focus on managing the client’s presence on X and Instagram to foster positive relationships, drive engagement, and represent their brand voice. If you’re passionate about creating meaningful connections in the sports fandom community, we’d love to hear from you

THE WORK YOU’LL DO

  • Oversee and manage communities on X/Twitter and Instagram, including creating posts, responding to comments, and moderating DMs.
  • Prepare a 6-month content calendar (January – June) with multiple content streams, applying critical thinking to determine the appropriate cadence of posts.
  • Craft copy for channels in the client’s brand voice.
  • Partner with the creative team to update content templates for use
  • Engage regularly with fans across platforms to promote positive interactions and foster a sense of community.
  • Respond promptly to community feedback, questions, and concerns, ensuring followers feel heard and valued.
  • Collaborate with the client team to communicate updates, address common issues, and provide insights that help shape future content.
  • Develop and implement community engagement initiatives, including trivia and contests, to keep the community excited and involved.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on sentiment and engagement metrics, using these insights to refine strategies.
  • Attend creative production shoots as a social team representative.
  • Coordinate with the client team to align social initiatives with broader campaign goals.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 1-3 years of experience in social community management, ideally with a sports team, college/university, or non-profit. Passion for sports and a strong understanding of the collegiate football landscape
  • Proven experience managing a community on X or Instagram, familiar with leveraging platform features to tell a brand’s story
  • Expertise in social copywriting for X and Instagram
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to capture and represent brand voice
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and tools, especially X/Twitter and Instagram
  • A proactive and empathetic approach to community building, with a focus on enhancing brand perception
  • Ability to analyze data and adjust strategies to foster a vibrant, active community

The base range for this position is $4,200 - 4,500 per month. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure, and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications
