Who are we?

Buyers Edge Platform (“BEP”) was born out of the 20-year growth and success of its founding companies Dining Alliance, Buyers Edge and Consolidated Concepts.  BEP is a technology enabled group purchasing network, which provides group purchasing services, SaaS based technology solutions, and supply chain consulting and procurement related services to foodservice operators across many verticals, including restaurants (independents as well as multiunit, chains and franchise concepts), hospitality (hotels, casinos, resorts), healthcare (LTC based operators), colleges & universities and array of other foodservice based operators (food trucks, caterers, amusement parks and other leisure based operators).  BEP represents over $35 Billion in Network Transactions.  We are committed and passionate about our mission to keep foodservice operators thriving by saving them money and increasing the quality of their products.

This position will ideally be hybrid based out of our office locations, such as in: Lake Worth, FL; Waltham, MA; New London, CT or Chicago, IL but it can also be remotely based. We are unable to provide sponsorship for work authorization for this role.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking to hire a motivated Compensation Manager to join our People Team who’s passionate about all things under the total reward umbrella, including compensation and benefits. You excel at administrating, designing, and developing the company's compensation and Total Rewards programs to support our strategic priorities. You have experience with broad-based compensation, short and long-term incentives, equity compensation, sales compensation and commissions, and executive compensation. You have a can-do attitude, love to collaborate and thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can make an impact. 

Your impact:   

  • Build out our sales incentive commission program and make consistent across the enterprise and all divisions
  • Manage compensation projects throughout the year, such as salary administration, bonus planning, bonus calculations, salary structure revisions, and processing out-of-cycle pay adjustments.
  • Help develop or revise compensation programs (new policy, career paths, salary structure updates, etc.). Build out and maintain job architecture and infrastructure.
  • Conduct job evaluations and market pricing for existing and new jobs.
  • Verify and reconcile data from different systems in People Development as well as with Finance and Payroll personnel.
  • Manage participation and vendor relationships/salary surveys.
  • Submit organizational data to salary surveys (Radford, Culpepper, etc) which includes mapping jobs.
  • Provide guidance to Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and leadership on pay decisions (inclusive of analysis and job jobs), policies, and guidelines.
  • Compile, prepare, analyze, and present data in Excel and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Keep appraised of federal, state, and local compensation and benefits laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Partner with the larger People organization to stay informed of and implement necessary policy and plan changes to remain compliant with state and federal laws.
  • Annual processes - complete or assist with calibrating annual merit increases, benefit processes such as annual enrollment, compliance notices, annual retirement plan audits, and updating communication materials.
  • Reporting, analysis, and reconciliation - create and maintain reports, perform data audits and analysis, reconcile payment and contribution discrepancies, and process billing.

About you:

  • 5+ years of experience in a total rewards-related role  
  • Bachelor's degree (four-year college or university) or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Experience with LTI, STIs, sales compensation, broad-based compensation, variable pay, and incentive compensation. 
  • Knowledge of job families across typical organization structures
  • Understanding and/or experience with benefits and benefits administration
  • Benefits administration experience
  • Understanding of the financial impact of total rewards programs (financial acumen)
  • Strong background in analytics and metrics
  • Deep expertise and passion for Excel
  • Experience with Radford, McLagan, or Comp Analyst survey sources 
  • Experience working with ADP or other HRIS platform.
  • Well-developed organizational skills with close attention to detail, proven ability to have accuracy.
  • Ability to gather, synthesize and analyze data, draw conclusions, and summarize recommendations.
  • Team player who thrives on collaboration and influencing without authority.
  •  Eager to learn, collaborate, and work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a willingness to support the team on ad hoc tasks.
  • Proactive ability to verify and follow through, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with varied stakeholders.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or completed coursework.
  • Project Management experience
