Your Role and Responsibilities
Who you are:
As a development Manager you will use your knowledge and experience to help drive IBM Cloud compute project priority .You’ll lead complex programs from initiation to delivery and you’ll collaborate with the other engineering groups with Compute organization. This is a fast-paced start-up environment where the successful candidate will wear many hats and where your work will have a real impact. You’ll be part of a bright engineering team that embraces open communication empowerment innovation teamwork and a shared focus on customer success

What you’ll do:
As a Development Manager you will play a key role in the success of the IBM Cloud Infrastructure organization. Development Managers in this organization help with the design building and development of the software engineers in this squad.
You have to ensure that you are running scrum meetings updating upper management of proper status including velocity and any improvements the team can make. As a Project Manager you are responsible for ensuring service framework and security compliance checklist to have the proper service requirements.
You will be asked to help with the support of the service by ensuring that the developers have the right training education and proper tools to help solve any customer related issues.
To maintain competitive advantage project managers must be able to work quickly and produce high-quality status and ensure that they are bridging any gaps between various dependencies as well as bringing the proper awareness to any blockers to upper management.
Working across tribes and other organizations is key being able to speak on some technical pieces of the project is also key.

Responsibilities

• A seasoned Manager with zeal to build top Software Development teams keen to drive best-in-class results and keep the team motivated

• Proficient with SDLC Processes and have proven experience in delivering large projects using Agile methodologies
• Great detail of understanding on functions of Organizations Cultures and remote management
• Clearly communicates information and ideas to individuals and teams in an articulate focused and compelling way. Willing to offer intellectual mind-share
• Compares information from multiple sources to identify core issues. Uses data to make decisions but also understands that instinct plays a part in innovating. Always uses good common sense combined with Emotional Intelligence
• Shall possess excellent verbal & communication skills and passion for presenting the new learning to the organization
• Demonstrate Strong Quality Orientation and get involved in Organizational process that will enhance Organizational productivity
• Demonstrate dedication and responsibility in delivering results and shall be Team Player and Lead by Example by understanding Organization Goals

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Shall have 10+ years of experience in product development with at least 2+ years of experience in Managing Software Development & QA teams
• Process good understanding of and experience with developing delivering and sustaining Web Mobile Middleware/Server applications
• Excellent skills in PHP/Java/Golang or C/C++ Linux Kubernetes Docker and Databases
• Excellent understanding of Cloud native principles – Microservices and Containers
• Proven experience and excellent understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery processes along with QA.
• Experienced with hiring & interviewing skills
• Passion for Product Architecture understanding is required and must take ownership
• Must be a Team Player and think through the bigger picture of the product/solution

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Familiar with Infrastructure as a Service Cloud Compute is an added advantage
• Familiar with Bare Metal Infrastructure development
• Proven track record on hosting highly available public cloud services.
