As an early member of the team, you will build relevant, impactful content that helps small businesses be the best version of themselves. You will work closely with the business development, insurance, data and products teams to deliver industry leading content for the different stakeholders involved in the purchase and sale of our novel insurance products and services.
YOU WILL
- Grow our top of the funnel (submissions) by producing compelling marketing content that tells the story of Counterpart to the right audience through the right medium.
- Help to define Counterpart’s brand voice, tone, editorial style and content guidelines for our multi-channel content strategy.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, data, and claims in creating useful content for our key stakeholders.
- Create and maintain editorial calendars, content inventory, metadata frameworks and content migration plans relevant for Counterpart’s target audiences.
- Ensure that needs, deadlines, reviews, and launch dates for our content calendar are clearly communicated across marketing and beyond.
- Build and own the content production process, including strategy development, ideation, drafting, editing, proofing and publishing content with the content writers and designers.
- Collaborate with digital strategists, data analysts, comms, SEO and paid media teams to identify clear goals for marketing content.
- Assist in creating and verifying our attribution model for tracking engagement to conversion and the impact of our content.
- Determine the asset formats, distribution channels (email, social, blog, bd materials, etc.), and topics that will maximize audience engagement and exceed revenue contribution targets.
- Analyze and communicate results Increase key performance metrics for content including organic traffic, engagement, click-through rates, and conversion.
YOU HAVE
- 3+ years of B2B or B2C content marketing experience leading and managing content strategy, content structures, and content development.
- Firm understanding of user experience and strong search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) skills are preferred.
- SaaS and or product-led growth industry experience strongly desired.
- Experience in digital content creation and developing content strategy.
- Multi-channel marketing experience with proficiency in analytics and engagement metrics
- Strong analytical skills, and eagerness to measure, report, and optimize quantifiable impact.
- Bonus points for past experience or interest in fintech or familiarity with the insurance industry.
- Comfortable operating in a remote environment.

- Fabio Faschi, Partnerships: Prior to Counterpart Fabio was the founding member of Policygenius' property and casualty division with experience as an independent insurance agent across 50 states, before moving on to Operations management at CoverWallet, an Aon company. Fabio's insurance expertise has been featured on Forbes, Consumer Affairs, Realtor.com, Apartment Therapy, The Simple Dollar, SFGATE, Bankrate, and Lifehacker.Â
- Mike Levins, Head of Insurance: Mike previously was the Head of Broker Relations and US MGA Operations at Hiscox. Mike oversaw the Midwest region with ~20 underwriters offering 13 different product lines, the primary lines being management liability, professional liability, and cyber/technology. His extensive insurance career has afforded Mike strong relationships across hundreds of retail and wholesale brokers. Mike received his BS from Marquette University and MBA from Benedictine University.
- Chris Shafer, Special Projects: Chris is a published scientific author, having studied the neural correlates of gratitude at the lauded Brain and Creativity Institute. He has since helped to launch numerous businesses in which he held a variety of critical roles from product management to business operations to strategic partnerships. Chris received his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Southern California.
- Tobias Schuler, Head of Data: After becoming a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and working as a consultant actuary at EY for several years, Tobias went on to drive the actuarial data & systems teams at QBE. He further leveraged his deep insurance and technical expertise at Munich Re Digital Partners in North America, where he headed data and analytics and oversaw the data infrastructure behind some of their largest programs.
