Job Description

About GreenLight
Founded in 2004, GreenLight Fund is a national nonprofit with a local focus that partners with communities to create opportunities for inclusive prosperity. In our 13 soon to be 14 sites, we facilitate a community-driven process that matches the local needs of individuals and families not met by existing programs, to organizations with track records of success elsewhere. Working with communities, we identify, invite in, and launch proven organizations from other areas in the country, providing collaborative support so they can quickly take root and deliver change. Evesrything we do is designed to remove barriers to inclusive economic opportunity all too often rooted in racial inequities.

Our impact increases exponentially as we address one specific, community-identified need each year, in each GreenLight site. Since 2004, we have launched nearly 60 portfolio organizations across 13 sites, invested $38.5M, and attracted an additional $320M from other funding sources, reaching more than 749,000 individuals and families in 2024 alone.

GreenLight Fund is headquartered in Boston, with sites in Atlanta, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Charlotte, Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Kansas City, Newark, Philadelphia, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the Twin Cities. GreenLight is continuing to expand and adding at least one new site each year including Miami in 2025, and Dallas in 2026.

GreenLight Fund continues to grow strategically, with a focus on deepening community impact, growing to new cities, building our learning capacity, building strategic partnerships, and centering equity in all that we do.

The Coordinator will also work closely with the Salesforce Administrator to maintain and optimize GreenLight’s CRM, ensuring accurate and actionable data to inform and strengthen fundraising efforts.

Over time, this role will contribute to the enhancement of network-wide development operations strategies and the refinement of organizational processes to support site teams and expand its scope within prospect research, delivering more advanced execution and insights.

  • Maintain data integrity, communicating processes and progress to key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Development Operations & National Events to conduct regular data clean-up, audits, and maintenance in Salesforce, ensuring the system remains accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with organizational priorities and compliance standards.

Investor Relations Support

  • Collaborate across the organization to support the experiences of local and national investors.
  • Oversee the development email inbox, promptly addressing inquiries from investors or directing the inquiries to the appropriate staff members.

Prospect Research

  • Fulfill requests for basic investor profiles and contact information to support fundraising and engagement efforts across all GreenLight sites.
  • Support the prospect research process for expansion sites and active fundraising sites, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and local needs.
  • Leverage tools and sources such as iWave, publicly available data, and search engines (i.e., Google) to identify and research prospective investors.
