Position Overview

We're looking for a creative Copywriter who can craft compelling and concise content for a major automotive client. In this role, you'll help create marketing materials across various mediums. Your words will inform and engage target audiences in the wholesale and retail channels.

Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, has an eye for detail and is comfortable working in a collaborative environment. If you can grasp project requirements quickly, multitask and offer valuable insights, we want to meet with you.

Scope of Work

• Write engaging, error-free copy that reflects our client's brand voice
• Thoroughly review copy for grammatical, punctuation and spelling errors and suggest corrections based on brand guidelines
• Distill technical product information into simple language that emphasizes customer benefits
• Maintain a deep understanding of our client's products and strategic direction to ensure messaging is aligned
• Conduct high-quality research and interviews
• Utilize available product information resources to validate work
• Interpret creative direction and adapt points from Creative Briefs into persuasive copy concepts
• Collaborate with Creative and Client Services teams to develop a variety of content marketing materials
• Attend client meetings, as needed, to present creative concepts and foster relationships
• Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines
• Perform fact-checking tasks and work closely with creative team to enhance content consistency

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or related field
• 1-3 years of experience in agency or marketing communications
• Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office software, including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Prior product information or automotive background strongly preferred
• Demonstrated excellence in writing, editing and proofreading
• Strong research and editing skills
• Demonstrated strong creative copywriting concepts and execution
• Self-directed, responsible, able to meet deadlines
• Excellent time-management, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task working on more than one project
• Ability to work primarily remote with the ability to work on-site at our Troy, MI office as required for team collaboration
