In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration's (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus. This state-of-the-art engineering, manufacturing and sourcing facility produces a wide array of intricate components to deliver trusted national security products and government services primarily for the NNSA. ***This position will be located in Kansas City, MO***
Summary of Duties:
Leads engineering technical projects and coordinates with product realization teams to develop, manage, and report on detailed project attributes including cost, schedule, resources, technical requirements, and risk mitigation. Regularly establishes baselines and supports multiple projects through the following:
- Creates and executes Project Management Plans (Scope, Schedule, Cost, Risk Management) for various Engineering Projects
- Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to establish project milestones and deliverables
- Participates in internal & external project reviews, providing project status updates to NNSA and DoD customers, and management
- Monitors and controls projects in partnership with Engineering Project Team Leads (PTL), Systems Engineering, and Program Management, including coordination and facilitation of project tasks and resources
- Tracks and evaluates key performance metrics across multiple projects
- Verifies & validates Production Assessments
- Escalates and works to remove obstacles to project success
- Drives timely and cost effective execution of projects including close-out of completed projects
- Acts as the Financial Project Manager and is responsible for all administrative tasks, reporting, and reviews, including the management of forecasts to improve accuracy and reliability in support of budget, resources, and workforce planning
- Utilizes Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques and reports on progress and variance mitigation
- Provides out years estimates, forecasts, and assumptions
- Negotiates and commits budget for projects
- Creates ""What If"" scenarios, generates and gains approval for project change requests, and authorizes and monitors work against control accounts
You Must Have:
- US citizenship in order to obtain US Dept. of Energy ""Q"" level security clearance
- BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Aerospace) from an accredited Engineering program, or a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from an accredited program or directly-related technical field from an ABET accredited institution
- Four or more years of experience in engineering of products or processes or comparable related technical experience

- Past Earned Value Management, Project Leadership, and Customer Interaction experience
- Role model with strong leadership and conflict resolution skills, who is able to build trust, be an active listener, and guide engineering project teams
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in managing +$3M dollar projects with a proven track record of delivering products on time and within budget
- Experience using Primavera P6 Software or equivalent to manage projects using EVM
