This exciting role as a Customer Claims Rep II will be responsible for researching and resolving deducted claims for warranty, pricing discrepancies, shortages, overages, concealed shortages, damages promotional items, etc. for both parts and water heaters. Also creates credit and debits for pricing adjustments, freight claims and account resolution. Pull reports, assign claims, and take steps to prevent subsequent deductions whenever possible.

The position will serve our Water Heating Division, for Montgomery, AL.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Research and resolve deducted parts and water heater claims in a timely manner. Direct to appropriate party for approval on larger claims.
• Gather documentation pertinent to specific problems, review for completeness and accuracy, and maintain all research within Oracle.
• Track and pull proof of delivery with all carriers.
• Respond to customer's inquiries in a timely manner (internal and external customer)
• Originate credit and debit claims needed to resolve pricing discrepancies, freight claims and account resolution.
• Pull claim status reports and appropriately assign claims.
• Inform management of deduction abuse, excessive claims, or internal breakdowns in check applications, processes, etc.
• High level of customer service diplomacy in maintaining patient and friendly tone in all communication.
• Ability to effectively communicate to channel partners.
• Adjust warranty contracts in Oracle Install Base.
Qualifications:
WHAT YOU NEED
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Associates Degree Preferred
- 2 years of bookkeeping, accounting, claims or finance experience or related education.
- Basic data entry of 30 words per minute (will be assessed)
- Basic MS Office Skills - Word, Excel, and Outlook (will be assessed)
- Ability to read, and comprehend short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to effectively navigate through several computer programs simultaneously.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deal with numerous interruptions
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a team environment
- Able to work weekends, staggered shifts, and holidays
- History of regular and consistent attendance at work
