The Role:

As the Data Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our data-driven success by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures. You will play a crucial role in ensuring data integrity, optimizing data storage, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement in data processes, promote a culture of data excellence, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Ensure data integrity and quality across various data sources.
• Implement and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Monitor and optimize database performance and data storage solutions.
• Support data-driven decision-making by providing clean, reliable, and timely data.
• Adhere to agile methodologies and practices to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Conduct data analysis and provide insights to support strategic business decisions.
• Develop and implement data management strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive continuous improvement in data operations.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in data engineering.

About you

The ideal candidate will have a track-record in delivering results in a fast-moving business and hence be comfortable with change and uncertainty. Excellent stakeholder management experience is essential to being successful in this role.

Required:

• Excellent knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL technologies
• Fluent in Python
• Understanding of data architecture and ELT flows/technology/methodologies
• In-depth understanding of agile methodologies and practices
• 2-5 years of experience

Preferred:

• Understanding of DBT (Data Build Tool).
• Experience with pipeline technologies within AWS.
• Knowledge of data modeling and statistics.

Education Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
