What you’ll be doing:

  • The Data Engineer will help AP’s vision of turning data into expertise. At the core, this team is responsible for creating workflows for data ingestion, standardizing processes and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load). Leverage SQL scripts to design and automate workflows to ingest and load data to different target database and systems. Manage and structure our database to align with the needs of our Product Management team. This exciting opportunity will put you at the forefront of cutting-edge technologies as we continue to expand our solutions over time. This role will be an integral part of shaping the development suite for our next-generation analytic solutions designed and built for our global clients. We work within an agile environment. 
  • Work cross-functionally with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and engineers to maintain Analytic Partners data warehouse.
  • Support and drive adoption of the data warehouse by promoting best practices around the data warehouse.
  • Help technical and business team translate business requirements into data elements that can be added to the data warehouse and tracked on an ongoing basis.
  • Support teams with SQL queries so they can extract the data they need.
  • Help troubleshoot issues in the data warehouse and work with the correct parties to resolve issues/bugs in the data warehouse.
  • Work with engineering and consultants to build dashboards based on AP’s data warehouse.

What we look for in you:

  • Required: Advanced SQL skills, query tuning with proven ability to write efficient and scalable code for data processing and management, SQL database design and development.
  • Bachelor's degree: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
  • 2+ years of formal professional experience working with data.
  • Familiarity with the following Redshift, AWS Athena, S3
  • Experience adapting in an agile environment to shifting priorities. 
  • A multitasker with excellent time management skills who can handle tight deadlines. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good scripting experience with Python is a plus.
  • Experience with statistics and modeling is a plus.
  • Experience in ETL/ELT is a plus.
