WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Evina is looking for a DATA ENGINEER. You will guarantee the confidentiality, security, integrity, quality and velocity of Evina's data pipelines, from data capture to its restitution in internal or external dashboards. You will be responsible for the perfect availability of data capture and restitution tools to business teams and customers.

DATA AT THE HEART OF THE FIGHT AGAINST FRAUD

Evina processes more than 50 million transactions per day on all products used by its customers. The quality of their processing is a major challenge to maintain the excellence of the solutions developed by Evina and the customer relationship.

Mission details :

• Audit and take ownership of existing data pipelines, making them more scalable, robust and less demanding
• Anticipate and manage load peaks
• Propose new scalable pipelines and perform unit and integration tests
• Access, process and analyze various data sources (structured/unstructured)
• Manage the data lifecycle with a view to efficient processing and restitution of data and optimizing storage and costs
• Understand and translate business needs and objectives into technical designs
• Optimize/create dashboards for internal and external use to ensure reliable data is displayed in the dashboards in real time
• Optimize data warehouse databases (compression, sorting strategy and data structure)
• Implement alerts and monitoring of pipelines to guarantee their integrity 24 hours a day, as well as to supervise business events (e.g. fraud peaks)
• Participate in the needs of data visualisation tools for external and internal customers

• Setting up a consolidated framework for the management of Evina data based on the best standards and the state of the art
• Guarantee availability for the data provisioning stack
• Guarantee availability for the data capture stack
• Guarantee the proper management of load peaks
• Make dasbhoards available to clients in less than one second
• Participate in the implementation of the best standards in terms of security and data protection
• Ensure the availability of systems 24/7

 WHO ARE YOU?

You will successfully complete all these assignments if:

• You have a 5-year degree in engineering or a master in computer science 
• have at least 5 years of experience in a data engineering position in companies managing the same volume of data as Evina
• Experience in operating large data warehouses or data lakes
• Experience in ETL pipeline, data modeling and data architecture
• You master: Redshift, Python, Elasticsearch, AWS environment, Kafka, Redis, Data visualization tools
• Nice to have: Node JS, Neo4J, Java, Scala, AWS S3
• You are meticulous, curious and spend time on technical monitoring
• You know how to communicate with technical and non-technical teams as well as with clients.
