Zions Bancorporation has an opportunity for a Data Warehouse Modeler/Designerand DBA with a combination of modeling/design and administration skillsand is eager to work with various platforms to join the Digital Strategy Project team. As a Data Warehouse Modeler/Designer and DBA, you will be integral in providing a foundation which supports access to data, automation, and unique tooling and applications to create those journeys.

This position requires regular face-to-face interaction with teams, business stakeholders, and executives in Salt Lake City, Utah. We will consider candidates in the area, able to relocate to the area, or working remotely but willing to travel regularly to Salt Lake City.

The successful candidate will have the skills and experience to effectively participate with cross-functional teams and customers in collaborative design and development activities dealing with complex applications and challenges. You will be detail oriented, focused on delivering high quality deliverables, have a passion for the fields of database design/modeling, financial data models, data warehousing, database administration, and possess customer empathy with a drive to create outstanding customer experiences and improved solutions.

This individual will:

• Collaborate with business and IT partners to iteratively build robust and scalable solutions.
• Create, design and administer data platforms (e.g., Application and MicroServices databases, Master Data Management (MDM database), Common Data Model pipeline, Data Warehouse).
• Manage the testing of data attributes based both on source data and results from other systems to ensure the data accurately reflects the source system and business needs.
• Manage roles, profiles, sharing rules, flows, permission sets, and groups.
• Build custom extracts, reports and dashboards.
• Perform database administration and maintenance tasks, including diagnostic testing and duplicate entry cleansing.
• Design data access patterns for internal and external APIs.
• Document data models, designs, and data flows.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and methodologies.
• Define and participate in database management best practices to validate and ensure quality of data.
• Stay current on industry trends and technologies.
• Experience with public, private, and/or hybrid cloud implementations.
• Learn new technologies and understand and adapt to changing priorities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience. Master's degree in directly related field may be counted toward experience.
• Technical understanding of data models (e.g., Financial Data Models, Banking Specific Data Models)
• 3-5 years advanced SQL skills for data analysis and management
• 2-3 years database administration and design experience (e.g., PostgreSQL, etc)
• Demonstrate working knowledge with both structured and unstructured data models and systems
