Minimum Salary: $165,000.00 - $174,405.00

Life Sciences R&D AI Capability

ZS's Life Sciences R&D AI capability aims to transform the drug discovery, development and evidence generation process through innovative, scalable and industry first AI-powered solutions and capabilities. We partner with clients to design and develop sophisticated methodologies and solutions that enable breakthrough science, precision medicine, improved probability of success, and accelerated discovery & development. ZS brings to our clients deep expertise in the use of clinical and generative AI approaches for multimodal data management, scientific exploration, target identification, computational phenotyping, biomarker discovery, digital twins, clinical trial design, insilico clinical trial simulation, site & investigator selection, patient recruitment, predictive sensing for clinical operations, risk-based quality management, biometrics and biostatistics, clinical and regulatory content automation, medical insights mining, clinical/medical next best engagement, and a range of other problems. You will work closely with R&D and AI leaders on growing our client awareness and presence, leading client relationships, developing and selling AI solutions, and delivering high impact projects. As part of the role, you will collaborate with a global AI delivery team, promote ZS's capabilities in the industry, and develop new capabilities for this space.

What You'll Do

• Apply problem solving, data, delivery, functional and technology expertise to develop AI & data science solutions for problems across the life sciences R&D lifecycle
• Collaborate closely with clients and internal functional, data science, and data engineering colleagues at ZS to integrate and effectively communicate solutions that drive impact
• Participate in the development of ZS's thought leadership in AI-based solutions accelerating discovery, clinical development, medical affairs & evidence generation
• Provide guidance and mentorship to associate and associate consultant team members

What You'll Bring

• Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in AI related discipline or pharmaceutical development related discipline (e.g. bioinformatics, biostatistics) plus 5+ years of relevant post-degree work experience
• Domain experience applying AI in the context of biomedical research and/or drug development and/or medical affairs and evidence generation
• Experience developing solutions for AI areas of interest (e.g., supervised and unsupervised ML, NLP, Generative AI, LLMs, reinforcement learning, graph-based learning, etc.) in industry and / or academic settings
• Experience presenting work at conferences and publishing
• Relevant programming experience (Python preferred)
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• High motivation, good work ethic and maturity

Additional Skills:

• Relevant domain knowledge encompassing areas such as life sciences, research & development, healthcare, health technology, or related expertise/experience
