Praescient has extensive experience designing, developing, and integrating solutions for customers including the US Army, Special Operations Command (SOCOM), US Navy (USN), US Marine Corps (USMC), US Coast Guard (USCG), Department of Justice (DOJ), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), intelligence community, and local law enforcement agencies, among others.

Praescient Analytics is in search of a Data Scientist to support the mission of the Offices of Inspectors General (OIG), the Pandemic Response Accountability Committee (PRAC) has established the Pandemic Response Center of Excellence (PACE) for the purpose of conducting data analysis and visualization; sharing leading practices; providing tools and services; and providing investigative intelligence. The mission of the PRAC is to promote transparency and conduct and support oversight of covered funds and the Coronavirus response to (1) prevent and detect fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement (FWA&M); and (2) mitigate major risks that cut across program and agency boundaries. As part of this mission, the PRAC works with Federal Inspectors General (IGs) to develop recommendations on measures to prevent or address fraud, waste, abuse and mismanagement; provides support in conducting investigations, audits, and reviews relating to the covered funds and Coronavirus response; and refers matters for criminal investigations.

Required Qualifications:
  • The Data Scientist shall have five (5) or more years of hands-on experience developing analytic rules and models using leading edge fraud analytic tools and best practices.
  • The data scientists should have a mix of skillsets to include:
    • Graph analytics
    • Programming (Python, SQL, R, etc.)
    • Machine Learning
    • Geospatial
    • Cloud data management
    • Big Data
    • Data wrangling, processing of large data sets
    • Natural Language Processing
    • Math and Statistics
    • Data Visualization
    • Storytelling skills
  • The Data Scientist must have five (5) or more years of hands-on experience of data management and advanced analytic techniques.
  • The Data Scientist must have five (5) or more years of hands-on experience using data sciences to detect and prevent fraud, waste, abuse and mismanagement.
  • The Data Scientist must have five (5) or more years of hands-on experience coding rules and models using open-source programming techniques and tools.
  • Strong oral and written skills are required.
  • The Senior Financial Analyst/Investigator shall have the ability and experience to review, analyze, and synthesize large quantities of document and prepare graphic representations regarding tasked assignments.
  • The Senior Fraud Detection and Reporting Analyst shall have a minimum of (3) three years' experience supporting federal law enforcement.
  • The ideal candidate will be a CPA and/or hold an accounting degree and/or a licensed CFE or ACAMS.
