About the role

The Onboarding Office ensures that critical Air distribution deals are implemented smoothly and timely. Agreement which differ from Amadeus' commercial and operational standards become frequent in Air content negotiations. This role safeguards during the customer engagements that such deviations are kept to minimum and operationally viable. After signature Onboarding drives efficient implementation with the least disruptoin to existing business processes. This requires collaboration with a wide range of internal and external stake holders.


Typical responsibilities :


- Before negotiations: Continously educate the global content manager community about existing models and the impact of deviations.
- During negotiations:Provide guidance on the model(s) considered/requested by the customer (feasibility studies, evaluation of alternatives) 
- After contract signature: Act as advisor for project executors (define best implementation project setup, streams, contributions) and execute part of the project as applicable 
- Post-implementation: Drive experience exercise (post-mortem analysis, documentation) of new e.g. what went well or what can be improved?)
 
Examples for non-standard contract terms: implementation of a new model in a given region/market (e.g. opt-in/out, whole sale, private/prime, preferred channel) or putting in place a new billling concepts (e.g. value based or net ticketing coupon).

The Onboarding Office belongs to the Air Distribution Deal & Business Management team.

Main accountabilities :

Provide advice to the deal team during Air DIS negotiations whenever significant non-standard terms are considered

  • Advise the negotiation team in defining the operational aspects of the deal strategy

  • Determine how to move from a concept to execution

  • Share knowledge based on past experiences / implemented models

  • Make sure that the considered deal can be implemented

  • Anticipate operational gaps and estimate the business case impact

  • Provide recommendations to management on alternative solutions or enabling the envisage solution

Advise the program/project team structure for the implementation of contracts with non-standard terms

  • Decide whether specific program/stream should be created

  • Identify key stakeholders / contributors

  • Communicate and align Amadeus organization

  • Define Onboarding Office involvement in the project

Drive the implementation of contract with significant non-standard terms

  • Drive the delivery of non-standard items of the contract through engagement of stakeholders incl. senior management

  • Manage the dedicated core team with people from different areas and seniority levels (virtual team lead of 10+ persons)

  • Reporting to senior management on progress of the implementation

  • Access alternatives and escalate to management if required

Lead return on experience exercise and document

  • Improve the implementation processes based on experience

  • Document and communicate internally about process/good practices

  • Build a catalogue of business models (toolkit)

Contribute to the deployment of the Onboarding Office

  • Contribute to building the internal Onboarding ecosystem 

  • Communicate internally about the Onboarding Office roles, responsibilities and added value to make sure teams can contribute when required

About the ideal candidate

  • University degree (Business Administration, Engineering)

  • At least 3 years of experience in distribution travel sector and/or management/coordination of transversal projects

  • Excellent command of English (required)

  • Excellent project Management abilities to coordinate different actors across Amadeus organization

  • Leading Change Ability to communicate the vision and rationale for change and modernization, and engaging and facilitating others to work collaboratively to achieve real change

  • Analytical Thinking Ability to use a methodical step-by-step approach to break down complex problems or processes into their constituents parts, identify causes and effects patterns and analyze problems to arrive to an appropriate solution

  • Interest to gain knowledge in other areas of business and on learning beyond project management practices to get the job done

  • Cost Conscious (Use company resources effectively and efficiently) Assign effectively available human, material and financial resources for the tasks to be accomplished; look continuously for ways to reduce costs without compromising quality

  • Computing skills : MS office, BI tools, MS Collaboration suite (MS Teams, SharePoint,…)
