Hitachi Energy is currently looking for a Design Engineer for the High Voltage Business to join their team in Vadodara, Gujrat, India. This team seeks a skilled and motivated individual.

Mission Statement

• Preparation of technical documents / instructions for product
• Conduct RCA of product failures and prepare analysis reports
• Maintenance of master data related to product in SAP

Your Responsibilities

• Supervise all stages of new product development right from evaluating technical feasibility, design, prototyping, component development and type testing
• Design, development, verification, testing and validation of product or product components.
• Preparation of technical documents / instructions for product
• Evaluation of product related technical specification requirements from customers.
• Co-ordination with various functions viz. Marketing, Order handling, Operations, SCM, Quality, Service, Finance, Technology Centre, Global Product Support
• Interaction with customers for product approval & technical clearances.
• Conduct RCA of product failures and prepare analysis reports.
• Maintenance of master data related to product in SAP
• Co-ordination in Type testing of HV Circuit breakers

Your Background

• Educational qualification: Degree in Engineering
• Experience required: : 3 to 6 years in Engineering/Design of HV Products ( Preferably HV Circuit Breakers).
• Competencies:
  
  Technical: Conversant with high voltage switchgear fundamentals. Make design improvements in existing products/design new products.
• Understanding the requirements and expectations of customers and get them translated in design documents. Understanding National & International standards, Analytical skill to solve complex issues, Knowledge on different materials and manufacturing processes related to Switchgear Industry, ERP System, PLM
  
  Behavioural: Effective communication, Systemic Thinking, Effective use of resources, Independent decision making ability, Result Oriented.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
