The role:

The Design Manager leads client work from start to finish, guiding a team of designers in the conception, design, and execution of visual materials that drive sustainable behavior change and help our clients accomplish their growth goals. In partnership with our team of Behavioral Psychologists and Instructional Designers, the Design Manager develops creative strategies and communications that spark engagement, encourage participation, and drive activation of Mind Gym’s behavior change solutions for top companies across multiple touchpoints. 

In addition to working with clients, the Design Manager plays an active role in the growth and development of their team of designers, ensuring they bring their best creative selves to work every day.

 Partner with clients 

• Translate client briefs into strong creative solutions.
• Facilitate engaging client workshops and design discovery sessions to uncover insights and ideas that help change the ways people think, feel, and behave.
• Strive for excellence and impact through fresh and original ideas, powerful storytelling, and innovative communications.
• Lead clients to the best solutions.

Grow and evolve Mind Gym’s design offering 

• Partner with other leaders to elevate the strategic role of design in pursuit of behavior change and business impact at Mind Gym.
• Communicate insights, concepts, and recommendations confidently and clearly with designers and non-designers alike.
• Bring innovative concepts and formats where appropriate with internal and client facing work.

Build and develop a strong team 

• Mentor and inspire your team to be the best creatives they can be.
• Work cross-functionally to solve complex problems while building relationships along the way.
• Look holistically at projects to manage design time.

Who you are:

• Proven history and experience developing strong creative solutions to design problems.
• Experience in translating business objectives into a strong and actionable creative vision.
• Experience with design thinking, service design, and design research methodologies.
• Experience using information design principles to facilitate the transfer of information.
• At least five years of experience in senior or manager role delivering through others.
• Proficiency with design software, including Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Exceptional capability with formal design elements, including typography, layout, color, etc.
• Ability to work with a broad range of cross-functional departments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary Range:

110-120K USD Base

In addition to base salary, MindGym’s total rewards package includes a competitive benefit offering and annual bonus eligibility. Base salary will be in-line with the role’s location and an individual’s qualifications and experience.
