Job Description

As Design Research Manager at Studio 5b you will:

1. Drive high quality secondary and primary research that brings out user unmet needs.
2. Passionate about User Research and willing to travel on field
3. Research design skills, ability to moderate qualitative interactions in English, Hindi and regional languages
4. Creating discussion guides, research tools, probes or methods, co-creation tools, sacrificial concepts, recording formats, documentation protocols etc. that will allow the team to uncover user needs and attitudes in the most effective manner.
5. Elevate data into actionable insights
6. Lead research projects independently with sharp understanding of the stakeholder business and strategy to translate unmet needs into opportunity spaces and build a solution roadmap for the stakeholders.
7. Explore a key domain under the space of healthcare innovation and build thought leadership within the area.
8. Mentor young researchers and based on their skills, aptitude and capabilities create a growth path. 
9. Effectively communicate complex research insights through immersive storytelling and help the stakeholders ideate on incremental as well as disruptive innovation pathways.
10. Design and conduct ideation workshops 
11. Collaborate with experts in the organization to combine qualitative research findings with quantitative research
12. Leverage information visualisation skills to build evocative and insightful patient journeys
13. Manage external vendors who facilitate research and user recruitment effectively to deliver projects in a swift and cost effective manner. 
14. Participate in an interdisciplinary team to build prototypes and conduct user testing for digital/ packaging/ pharmacological/ service ideas
15. Experience in FMCG, Service Design, Product planning and management is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5-6+ years’ experience in being part of qualitative user research in multi-disciplinary teams, as part of innovation projects
• Worked in a leading design / innovation consulting firm or an internal innovation team in a large corporate – with exposure to global, product and service innovation & design projects

• Master’s Degree in any of these disciplines: Anthropology, Sociology or other Humanities; Design, Business strategy, or MBA marketing/ strategy

  Institutes – IDC-IITB, NID, ISB, IIMs, MICA, MIT, Srishti, ISDI
