Penguin Random House is the premier provider of distribution services in the publishing industry. Our fulfillment center, located in Reno, NV is seeking a qualified Desktop Support Analyst in our IT department.

The Desktop Support Analyst's role entails providing both on-premises and remote support to End Users, assisting with a wide array of computing-related issues. This includes troubleshooting problems with Windows operating systems, mobile devices, M365, in-house developed applications, network connectivity, printing, and access to shared network and cloud resources.

In addition to providing exceptional customer service, the Analyst will conduct PC upgrades/replacements, manage equipment moves, and oversee hardware installations. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the Windows Operating System.

Shift Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm

This role is multi-faceted, with key responsibilities including:• Assisting employees in achieving business goals by ensuring smooth operation of their computers and related applications/tools• Troubleshooting reported hardware and software problems, while identifying trends and inconsistencies• Maintaining the IT Service Desk call tracking system (ServiceNow) and ensuring consistent information flow • Onboarding new hires, which includes setting up equipment, as well as offboarding users as needed• Resolving technical issues with Local Area Networks (LAN) and home Wi-Fi networks

Requirements:• 3+ years of supportive work experience in IT, or equivalent education and work experience• Proficiency in installing and troubleshooting Windows 10 OS• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively• Comprehensive knowledge of Remote Computing technologies and mobile devices such as iPhones, iPads, and Android• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines• Exceptional multitasking abilities• Must be professional, collaborative, and thrive in a team environment
