Destiny UX Designer (Senior to Staff)

Bungie is seeking a Senior to Staff level UX Designer to delight millions of Destiny 2 players. You’ll be responsible for producing UI & UX design work on a cross functional team, evolving problems that are complex and ambiguous, into clear, actionable design solutions. You'll work from concept to completion by collaborating closely with other designers and product leadership in order to achieve feature goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collect feature goals and requirements from game designers, consumer insights from User Research & Analytics, and convert those goals and insights into best-in-industry UX solutions
• Evaluate risk / opportunity scenarios on feature specifications and goals
• Convert goals and requirements into viable, scalable solutions which follow and complement our UX strategy and design principles, through appropriate UX design methodologies, such as wireframes, user flows, and user testing
• Prove ideas tangibly through prototyping and validation
• Identify and articulate accessibility needs and opportunities
• Work with design leads on establishing strategies, design standards, and patterns

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Expert collaborator: You know how to move complex, nuanced design problems forward within a small team and with cross-discipline design stakeholders, using proven collaboration methods
• Games systems design expertise: As an expression of UX, you will address aspirational pursuits, F2P GaaS attachment / retention strategies, and future proof Game UI pattern design
• Proficient in applied player psychology: You model the player’s experience and journey through complex and ambiguous systems, understanding and applying ephemeral behavior patterns and archetype cohort modeling
• Expert communicator: You know how to build feature momentum in a clear and focused manner, which inspires teams (both for UI implementation and systemic game design opportunity). You confidently and deftly present your designs to stakeholders, building stability and excitement around a direction
• User-Centered Design advocate: You are a committed believer in putting the user needs at the center of all phases of the development process; you identify and advocate the core needs of the users in all design discussions
• Champion for the underrepresented: You apply inclusive development strategies to build inclusive features
• Growth mindset: With a solid foundational knowledge in design methodologies (e.g. wireframes, personas, journey mapping, information architecture, interaction design, and prototyping), you're always working to improve your skills and evolve design thinking practices both as a UX designer and as game industry professional
• Process Driven: You can break features down granularly in order to incrementally ship value to our players. You embrace that an effective UX needs iterations and frequent evaluation, especially when working on a live service product. You know how to measure success using both qualitative and quantitative insights
• Systematic Thinker: Your design process considers moderate-to-large scale solutions that are sustainable over time, on a range of large-scale, consumer-facing products
• Must have online UX portfolio

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS 

• Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, User-Centered Design, Cognitive science or equivalent
• Experience working in Agile and using a User-Centered Design process
• Ability to use Figma, Miro, & Adobe CC Software to convey designs
