• Extensive experience in the areas of OS-VS COBOL II, APS (Micro Focus)COBOL, DB2, VSAM, JCL, CICS with MQ and CICS Webservices on MVS/ESA/Z/OS platforms.
• Expertise in the Production support activities related to mainframe.
• Have in-depth knowledge on the criticality of the support and strong analytical skill to quickly resolve issues on time.
• Extensive knowledge on the process involved with the production support and on-time resolution of the tickets.
• Strong application-level systems analysis & design experience (full life cycle) to implement the Business requirements. Expertise in complete lifecycle Implementation of project.
• Good exposure on Hadoop ecosystems, HDFS, Sqoop, PIG, HIVE, MySQL, NoSQL, HBase, Flume, Oracle SQL developer.
• Proficient in analyzing and translating business requirements to technical requirements.
• Proficient in client facing roles. Successful in leading team through project life cycle with daily interaction with clients.
• Worked on Micro Focus and COBOL II code deployment and the version control tools like ENDEVOR, CHANGEMAN from user end prospective.
• Well versed in Unit, Integration, System and User Acceptance testing for the code.
• Proficient in using Tools like TSO/ISPF, FILE-AID, XPEDITER(Debugger), ENDEVOR & CHANGEMAN(Configuration management), CA-7, OPC, ZEKE(Job SCHEDULER), PLATINUM AND INSIGHT(DB2 tool), SPUFI, QMF , INTER-TEST, ALCHEMIST, GLADSTONE Conversion Tool, Relativity(ATZ) tool, Manage-Now, Heat call logging system tool, Service Now, JIRA.
• Extensive experience in SFTP, NDM(Connect:Direct), MQ series, FTP.
• Expert knowledge in XML parsers, API interfaces connecting through mainframe.
• Good experience on the application programming in IMS DB(PSB/DBD)/DC. Have had extensive experience working with databases DB2.
• Good experience in various Industry verticals like Property and Casualty Insurance, Banking and Annuity book of Business, Retail business (Kroger Co. and Target), State of Indiana(IES).
• Experienced in Agile and Waterfall Development process for diverse requirements.
• Leading team of size from 7 to 10 Developers for the full life cycle of the Project.
• Skilled in client needs assessment, risk analysis and client vendor relationships.
• Excellent communication skills, which include presentation, documentation.
• Experienced in Database administration activities which involved RDBM (DB2).
• Good Experience in extracting business rules from Mainframe applications written in COBOL,PL/I.
• Extensive experience working with Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, IBM Lotus Notes, IBM Rational Portfolio Manager.
• Well-versed in the Client facing role which demands everyday interaction and co-ordination with offshore, onshore and multiple vendors.
