Developer Relations Engineer, Application Ecosystem and Runtimes

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of work experience in a technical role (e.g., software engineering, solutions consultant, etc.) or equivalent technical experience.
  
• Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, and training sessions.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in setting technical strategy for large teams and large projects.
• Experience in software community engagement, such as speaking publicly at developer conferences, running meetup groups, or organizing community programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
• Passion for developer communities and interest in enabling and supporting developers across various technology domains.

Part community manager and part developer advocate, Developer Programs Engineers collaborate with developers at conferences and online, and advocate for developers interests internally at Google. Internally, you work with product engineering teams improve our products by conveying feedback from developers, reviewing API designs and testing new features. Within the Cloud Developer Relations team, the Modern Development advocacy team's mission is to empower software developers and operators across the entire life-cycle of applications, focusing on three core areas: Runtimes, DevOps, and AI-assisted SDLC. Enable developers to develop, maintain, and troubleshoot applications more quickly than ever before.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
