Developer SAS and Big Data

Job Description:
Position Summary:
This position is for a detail-oriented middleware developer with SAS Fraud Management installation and roll-out experience, strong programming experience with Hadoop, Relational databases, and Unix/Linux Shell scripting skills. The ideal candidate is able to think logically, enjoys pulling together technical and human inputs to understand and solve problems, and has used previously unlearned tools/processes to develop solutions. The candidate must be a self-motivated team player, who can work independently with limited oversight/assistance.
Required Skills:
10+ years of experience in designing and implementing enterprise applications through all aspects of the SDLC, including:

• 5+ years of extensive experience in Big Data Analytics and Hadoop ecosystems such as Hive, Pig, Oozie, Sqoop, Spark, Scala, Impala, Hbase, MapR DB, and Kafka.
• 3+ year of experience with SAS Analytics software products such as SAS Fraud Management.
• Experience installing and configuring vendor products in-house including custom integration through ETL and tools such as MQ, NDMs, AutoSys, and Tomcat.
• Comprehensive experience in using UNIX, Linux Operating systems, and well-versed using various commands, especially as part of Shell Scripting.
• Hands on development experience with RDBMS such as DB2 and Oracle, including writing complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures.
• Experience working with development /scrum teams to support projects.
• Effective Communication with the ability to articulate problems and solutions.
• Able to participate or conduct conference calls with tech and/or business users.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Java and Python.
• Familiarity with Java Scripting and JBOSS.
• Experience with Base SAS 9.x and/or SAS BI Suites.
• Experience in Banking Domain.
