The Social Media Communications Lead drives impact across Pivotal’s social channels to reach target audiences, create engagement and build trust in service of our organizational goals. This role will create best-in-class branded content that is tailored by channel and highlights the unique and innovative work we do with our partners. In this position, storytelling brings to life our work  through key moments, partner spotlights and multi-channel campaigns. The role spans all aspects of operations and includes oversight of agency partners to deliver compelling content and editorial programming, paid media planning and real-time interactions with partners and influencers. Working closely together with the Senior Digital Communications Lead, this position will ensure our content strategy is harmonized across channels and platforms, increasing social followers, driving engagement, and ensuring our messages are on brand and building trust.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Day-to-Day Management of Social Channels
- Oversee editorial calendar and forward planning for Pivotal Ventures social channels
- Plan day-by-day social content calendar, including amplification of earned media pieces, owned editorial and creative content, and select content from our programmatic partners
- Review content, draft copy, and coordinate with creative agency and writers.
- Monitor and support content and announcements from across our network.
- Identify stories/threads that are relevant to our priority areas of interest and act upon opportunities to publish timely commentary or engagements.
- Vet and handle inbound requests and coordinate with partners.
- Provide input and guidance for digital optimization of content requests.
- Manage social management tool and posting to social channels including influencer engagements.
- Oversee community management and moderation of social channels. Identify opportunities for engagement on social channels and real-time social content.
- Upload and manage assets in digital asset management system.
Campaign Development and Execution
- Work with creative content lead to input and advise on content creation, including briefs and content deliverables to best optimize for digital channels.
- Develop and manage paid media programs to expand the reach of channels and drive key campaign objectives.
- Plan and execute campaigns to achieve audience acquisition, awareness of and engagement with key issues and other objectives.
- Manage digital agency relationship and deliverables on a day-to-day basis.
- Track the performance of channel, content and campaigns and develop detailed reports of the progress against goals.
- Support implementation of influencer and network strategy through social listening and real-time engagement.
- Apply strong communication techniques to the work, including segmentation and understanding of audience, identifying key stakeholders and understanding of brand voice and messaging
- Regularly share digital and community expertise with colleagues across Pivotal.
- Identify digital opportunities with media, social platforms and influencers and lead strategy through execution of projects.
Digital Strategy
- Refresh, implement and regularly optimize channel strategy.
- Monitor and evaluate digital trends to optimize multi-channel strategy and pursue new opportunities.
- Manage and grow engagement, positive sentiment, and followers of our online communities, recommending discreet ways to optimize the impact of Pivotal’s work
- Advise on and develop digital strategies for particular campaigns and initiatives.
- Regularly report out on channel health and present learnings and opportunities to improve our digital program during quarterly metrics and insights meetings
Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain close, coordinated relationships with external stakeholders and partners to refine and improve coordination and collaboration.
- Represent Pivotal Ventures with partners and provide regular updates to team and partner organizations on digital media strategy and plans
Base annual compensation range for this role is from $115,100 to $121,100.
