Zions Bancorporation Risk Learning Team is currently hiring a Director, Enterprise Business Resiliency to join the Enterprise Business Continuity team.

The ideal candidate will have the skills and experience necessary to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Responsible for building and management the Enterprise's Office of Resiliency, which will be responsible for strengthening the enterprise's resilience capabilities while ensuring it is aligned with ongoing regulatory changes.
  • Leads, plan and manage the activities of the Resilience Program while collaborating with numerous resilience and business partners.
  • Leads the evolution of resilience at Zions with Internal Partners.
  • Interacts with a multitude of business and resilience-related organizations across the enterprise.
  • Interactions with these organizational units and functions may evolve in the long-term as this leader works with management to define the vision for the Office of Resiliency.
  • Maintains a current perspective of Zions' resilience posture and continue to evolve Zions' existing resilience capabilities in line with industry practices and regulatory expectations.
  • Maintains a current understanding of regulatory trends and communicates to internal partners to ensure that regulatory changes in the resiliency area are understood and addressed.
  • Keeps abreast of technological innovations and enhancements to identify situations where business operations may be enhanced, and efficiencies introduced.
  • Maintain, implement and manage a strategic and tactical roadmap to address the current and future role of the Resilience Program, obtaining management approval when necessary.
  • Executes on roadmaps to continuously improve enterprise resilience.
  • Implement and monitor projects/programs against major milestones and take preventative/corrective action as appropriate to ensure delivery on time, within budget, according to specifications.
  • Ensures that all processes utilized are efficient, deliver high quality, defined, documented, measured and maintained.
  • Ensure all changes to processes are communicated, documented, and implemented through established methodology and communicated to other operations.
  • Communicate with staff and management on objectives, priorities, performance standards, plans, unit accomplishments, etc., on a regular basis.
  • Establish a comprehensive accountability framework for the Resilience program - build alignment and agreement with internal partners to ensure clarity of mandate across the different resilience related capabilities across the enterprise.
  • Oversee maintenance of Zions' critical business processes and Process Owners inventory, critical business process end-to-end maps identifying technology, people, third parties, facilities.
  • Liaise with the business to identify impact tolerances, disruption risk scenarios to assess business lines and their components.
  • Identify resilience measures and metrics across the business line's components.
  • Develop monitoring and reporting programs across business lines, scenario test disruption of assets to validate impact tolerances.
  • Report and develop investment case to remediate gaps.
  • Provide direction, motivation, coaching, and developmental opportunities and ensure that the appropriate skills are obtained by staff.
  • Responsible for area budget and monthly financial reports.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, performance evaluations and supervising staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
  • 10+ years of Operational Resilience, Business Continuity Management, or Disaster Recovery experience at both a technical and business level, Business Resiliency policies and procedures or other directly related experience.
  • Strong technology and management experience required.
  • Motivational, budgeting and project management experience.
  • Requires an extensive in-depth industry knowledge of Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Incident and Crisis Management and Exercises and Testing specific to the banking industry for both technical and business environments.
  • Expert knowledge of business resiliency plans, systems processes and procedures.
  • Exceptional project management, analysis, problem resolution and organizational skills.
  • Extensive in-depth risk assessment and solution management skills.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to work across silos efficiently.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing environments.
  • Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to simplify and present complex topics to Executive management in multiple media.
  • Ability to influence, partner and negotiate with executives and senior staff across the enterprise.
  • Experience delivering results in a fast-paced, highly regulated, deadline driven environment.
  • Executive level leadership experience managing a complex organization.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer and various computer software.
