Job Description
- You'll collaborate with Cox Automotive Technology and appropriate suppliers on marketing technology requirements and lead the Marketing efforts related to proper technology platforms and tools that enable our ability to plan, conduct and measure marketing campaigns and lead generation.
- You'll partner with your peers within the Inventory & Next Gear Capital and Retail Marketing teams on marketing technology decisions to align on expense and functionality.
- You'll apply your ability to partner along with your experience and know how to work with the leadership of key Cox Automotive Marketing and Sales/Performance Management teams in determining relevant market segments to target for growth and retention.
- You'll lead the teams needed to engage in joint campaign planning including setting goals and measurable objectives and the prioritization of all outgoing B2B campaigns that support Cox Automotive revenue and sales requirements.
- You'll work to create demand and develop meaningful, customer-first content to be used in thought leadership, editorial, white papers, and more.
- You'll continually optimize marketing campaigns based on measurable outcomes in terms of expense, revenue/sales objectives, market share, and churn/retention objectives. You will establish timely and relevant reporting as a means of informing your team and leadership across Sales/Performance Management and Marketing.
- You'll provide an analytical approach to ensure that adequate impressions are delivered to drive awareness, consideration, and intention to buy as well as utilization goals are met to ensure retention is maximized /churn is minimized.
- You'll build a deep understanding of our clients, the market, and the competition across all the segments in which Cox Automotive does business.
- Your commitment to moving with purpose, clarity, and speed is to be translated to your team and understood to be a priority among the Marketing and Sales/Performance Management teams.
- You'll monitor industry analysts, competitors, customers, sales engagements, etc. to identify trends and market opportunities.
- You'll validate hypotheses through customer insights, data analysis, and testing.
- You'll influence change, assess capability gaps, and build plans for addressing organizational needs for teams that support enterprise-wide client accounts

Qualifications:
Who You Are
We're looking for someone who inspires trust and respect and has the background to prove it. Someone with the experience and vision to build and deliver successful marketing campaigns and initiatives. Someone who approaches their work with a spirit of partnership, proactivity, and dependability.
You'll also have a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related discipline and 12+ years of experience in marketing or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
Requirements for the role:
- BS/BA in a related discipline OR an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
- Generally, 12+ years of experience in a related field.
- B2B Marketing, including Digital Marketing, Marketing Operations/Technology experience.
- A demonstrated track record of being a strong, collaborative partner to cross-functional sales and marketing teams.
- 8+ years of experience leading, managing, mentoring and coaching team members.
- Excellent communication skills - both spoken and written.
- Polished presentation skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions in a customer-facing environment.
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills, including the ability to turn complex subject matter into easy-to-understand artifacts as the basis for marketing and sales programs.
- Excellent people skills to interact with peers/colleagues, cross-functional teams, third parties, and customers. Must be a strong team player.
- Outstanding follow-through, time management, and project management skills to deliver results.
Now, we'd also prefer you have the following, but it's not necessarily required:
- MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
- A high degree of comfort with navigating a matrix organization and operating in ambiguity to take on new challenges.
- Prior experience in the automotive industry or B2B software is a strong plus.
- Pragmatic Marketing certification & Challenger training are desirable.
Compensation includes a base salary of $127,800 to $213,000. The salary rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the Company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
