Director of Strategic Sourcing

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Strategic Sourcing to lead the global strategic business for some of our iconic brands, like Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons and Duel Masters, in optimizing our sourcing and supplier management strategy and processes! 

The ideal candidate will have a strategic and growth mindset with a deep understanding of procurement and supply chain management with the ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies that drive cost savings, quality improvement, and operational efficiency.

What You'll Do:

• Partner and influence leaders across Wizards, Global Supply Chain, Global Consumer Insights and the commercial markets.
• Develop, lead and implement comprehensive global sourcing strategies aligned with the company's overall business goals and building on the product and innovation of the studios. Continuously assess and adapt sourcing strategies to ensure they remain relevant and effective. (including contracting, strategic negotiations, joint productivity agenda, supply market intelligence, new supplier identification).
• Find opportunities for cost savings and implement initiatives to achieve them. Analyze cost structures, supplier performance, and market trends to optimize procurement decisions.
• Implement a robust supplier evaluation and performance management program to ensure that suppliers meet or exceed quality and delivery standards. Address any non-compliance issues in a timely manner.
• Stay up to date on industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies in the procurement and sourcing field. Use this information to make data informed sourcing decisions.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies to address potential supply chain disruptions. Ensure business continuity by establishing contingency plans and alternative sources of supply.
• Promote and implement sustainable sourcing practices and initiatives that align with corporate social responsibility and environmental goals.
• Ensure that all sourcing activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Establish and implement ethical and responsible sourcing practices.
• Champion the ongoing integration and collaboration with the Hasbro One Supply Chain team representing our core brands.
• Collaborate with the product Studios, supply chain, operations teams (engineers and quality assurance).
• Lead and develop a strong procurement team, providing guidance, training, and support to team members.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence and create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, and innovative thinking.

What You'll Bring:

• Experience (10+ years) in procurement, strategic sourcing, and supplier management, with a track record of delivering cost savings and process improvements.
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in business, supply chain management, engineering or related field required.
• Experience in RPG/Tabletop/Board gaming industry is required.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Knowledge of global market trends and sourcing methodologies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
