The Director, Technical Product Management position is responsible for analyzing data, evaluating options and creating the technical documentation the software development teams will use to created digital products. This position involves a mixture of individual and collaborative work.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Data Analysis: Evaluate partner data offerings to pinpoint the most valuable data and determine the optimal ways to present the data to sports fans
• Research: Evaluate the competitive landscape to understand a problem from every angle
• Innovate: Generate exciting, unique ways to present information and solve problems
• Document: Author wireframes, data contracts, system designs, user stories, product briefs and more
• Ownership: Own feature delivery from conception to production release verification
• Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work closely with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges, ensuring optimal product performance and seamless user experiences
• Scalability and Reliability: Contribute to designing, optimizing, and maintaining systems to ensure scalability, reliability, and high availability, especially during high-traffic events
• Maintain and improve existing products incorporating feedback, metrics and analysis
• Participate in product brainstorming sessions
• Stay current on software development practices and the technology industry
• Stay current on sports products, topics and trends

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Detail oriented: Comprehensive problem-solving including edge case analysis, future proofing and maintainability
• Communication: Must be a strong a strong communicator, both written and oral
• Technical focus: Go deep to comprehend technical workflows, documentation, conversations, etc.
• Self-Motivated: Hunger to be the best and a key cog in a very successful collection of teams
• Passion: Strong affinity for sports, statistics, data and interactive systems
• Innovative Mindset: A passion for exploring approaches to improve performance and elevate user experience.
• Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work effectively within a team, contributing ideas and solutions while valuing collective success.
• Continuous improvement: Willingness to adapt to evolving technologies and embrace learning opportunities
• API Fluency: Strong familiarity with reading and creating RESTful API
• FOX Tech is a globally distributed team; You'll need to be open to attending occasional meetings and/or trouble shooting sessions outside your normal work hours.
• Significant experience with Postman, Swagger, Charles and similar tools
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other web essentials
