The EHS Specialist role for Cytiva is responsible for conducting and coordinating job safety analysis, industrial hygiene, and other hazard and risk analysis (JSA/JHA), conducting routine safety observations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, company environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, and practices.

The position is part of the Environmental/Occupational Health and Safety department located in Duncan, SC, and will be onsite.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Reporting to the EHS Manager coordinate, conduct, and track various training to support company programs, assist in the LOTO Program as well as perform periodic safety inspections, assist the Contractor Safety Program, coordinate continuous improvement projects
• Conduct accident/near miss investigations and root cause analysis and may make resolution recommendations. Implement corrective/preventative actions and continuous improvement activities as directed. Maintain various reporting systems and provides safety analysis
• Assist in recordkeeping, reporting, and other EHS administrative duties, respond to emergencies during or after hours to resolve immediate safety/security concerns

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field and 3+ years of direct experience in Environmental, Health and Safety activities
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations as they relate to the Environmental Health and Safety Program is a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
• ISO14000 experience
• Ability to be on call at off hours as needed

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• CTPAT/BARDA security program experience preferred
• BCMS (business continuity management systems) preferred
