We are seeking a full-time BC/BE Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care: Provide timely and expert medical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and emergencies.
2. Emergency Procedures: Perform and supervise emergency procedures, including intubation, central line placement, and trauma resuscitation, as needed.
3. Collaborative Care: Collaborate with nurses, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
4. Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical leadership and support to the healthcare team, including medical residents and students, to promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
5. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including patient histories, assessments, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
6. Patient Education: Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.
7. Quality Improvement: Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, streamline processes, and optimize patient satisfaction.
8. Emergency Department Operations: Collaborate with the ED leadership team to ensure efficient operations, including managing patient flow, triage, and resource utilization.
9. Compliance: Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and hospital policies to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine.
• Active medical license in the state of NC.
• Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications.
• Strong clinical skills and experience in emergency medicine.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to providing patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
