Coastal North Carolina EM Physician Opportunity – Beach Family Community
We are seeking a full-time BC/BE Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team. We are an established democratic group and operate in a renowned healthcare institution dedicated to providing high-quality medical care to our community. Our Emergency Department is staffed by a team of skilled healthcare professionals who are committed to delivering prompt, compassionate, and expert care to patients in their time of need. Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide timely and expert medical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and emergencies.
- Emergency Procedures: Perform and supervise emergency procedures, including intubation, central line placement, and trauma resuscitation, as needed.
- Collaborative Care: Collaborate with nurses, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical leadership and support to the healthcare team, including medical residents and students, to promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including patient histories, assessments, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Patient Education: Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.
- Quality Improvement: Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, streamline processes, and optimize patient satisfaction.
- Emergency Department Operations: Collaborate with the ED leadership team to ensure efficient operations, including managing patient flow, triage, and resource utilization.
- Compliance: Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and hospital policies to ensure compliance and patient safety.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine.
- Active medical license in the state of NC.
- Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications.
- Strong clinical skills and experience in emergency medicine.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
