Job purpose

Does the thought of impacting company cultures and employee experiences excite you? If so, BorgWarner seeking an employee communications specialist to join its corporate team.
The specialist role is new to BorgWarner's Employee Engagement, DE&I and Communications team and will manage the development and execution of a broad range of employee communication efforts. You'll help develop strategies, support company initiatives, and bring to life communications that inform, educate, inspire, and engage our people. We're looking for someone that shares our passion for putting our employees at the center of all we do to help them perform at their best.

Key responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Build & Finalize messaging, video content etc. in partnership with the C-Suite based on desired messaging
- Identify relevant communications and engagement opportunities, and evaluate their effectiveness
- Helps develop and leads the implementation of an internal communications strategy (including tactics, activities, and materials) that adds to BorgWarner's culture and fosters employee engagement while communicating the priorities
- Suggest new and innovative means of communicating relevant messaging across the company
- Support the communications team by anticipating communication requirements, understanding various audiences and constituencies, and responding to requests and inquiries for the department
- Create engaging, informative content for our various communications channels, including our internal social network, company intranet, emails, digital newsletters, and digital displays.
- Manage our in-house video, podcast production and editing studio.
- Actively seek out and tell the stories that bring our culture to life.
- Become a subject matter expert (Power User) on our employee communications and engagement platforms.
- Collaborate with our global Human Resources and cross-functional business teams to enable consistent employee messaging across the organization.
- Partner with our business units and functions to provide employee communications counsel and support.
- Liaise with our corporate marketing team to promote external/internal communications collaborations and alignment.
- Stay up to date on employee communications and engagement trends, best practices, and technologies to bring new ideas and ways to implement them to the team.
- Support the planning and execution of in-person and virtual leadership events.

- You are curious, creative, and open-minded-you're not afraid to ask why or why not, and you're a natural at coming up with ideas on what to do next.
- You have a basic knowledge of audio, visual, and video creation and editing technologies.
- You are enthusiastic about learning and using advanced employee communication and engagement technologies.
- You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse, global teams.
