METIÂ is responsible for providing highly competitive supply structures to its gas and power sales affiliates, optimizing its power generation assets, managing the LNG portfolio, and trading around international positions.
We are looking to expand the Analytics team by hiring an Energy Demand Analyst. This role would aim to support commodity analytics and trading activities by focusing on the European (with global considerations) macro-economic and energy demand development, including regulatory and policy effects on energy demand.

- Long-term (5+ years): structural shifts, technological advances, long-term economic growth, population demographics
- Prepare and maintain energy demand scenarios to serve as inputs for energy prices forecasting models.
- Analyse the potential impacts of major events, policy, and geopolitical developments on energy markets.
- Analyze key macroeconomic data, research trends in energy-intensive sectors (fertilizers, chemicals, metals, etc.), and supply-demand dynamics within relevant value chains (minerals, metals, etc.), with focus on identifying potential impacts on energy demand.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations summarizing the above insights to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data analytics team on expanding our global economic data coverage and notification system
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in energy demand analytics, energy analytics, or a closely related field
- Experience in an energy trading environment or commodities sector is a strong plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering or Mathematics; Master’s degree a plus
- Strong research, analytical, and quantitative skills (econometric and statistical modeling)
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Coding skills in Python and SQL are an advantage
- Ability to explain and communicate complex concepts, translate market analyses into propositions/strategies and to communicate them clearly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
