Job purpose

BorgWarner Enterprise Engineering Systems (IT) is currently looking for "dynamic, results driven" individual to join as an Engineering Systems Summer Intern. The Engineering Systems Intern is responsible for assisting Engineering Systems IT teams with various development activities, support, planning, and data inventory involving enterprise engineering systems and related technology.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in generic system testing or engineering processes in IT toolchain.
• Gathering and documenting engineering systems usage metrics.
• Conducting and documenting system user audits
• Participate and contribute to engineering systems challenges and opportunities.
• Revising technical websites and documents.

What we're looking for

• Collegiate Undergraduate majoring in Engineering
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Can assist IT Staff in defining tasks when faced with ambiguity
• Proficient in computer skills (Microsoft Office products)
• Ability to routinely work in a hands-on manner

This position will adhere to Global Star Safety Program, including safety rules, practices and training as outlined in the BorgWarner PTC Safety Policy Manual, which includes the use of equipment, protective devices, or clothing that the employer requires. This individual will work in manners that stress the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses. He/she must take every precaution reasonable in the given circumstance for the protection of themselves and coworkers. In addition, he/she is responsible for reporting all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations, incidents, or occurrences to the immediate supervisor.
