EPMS Field service engineer

We have a new exciting opportunity for a Field Software Configuration Engineer who will travel and support our clients mainly working on EPMS/DCIM/SCADA projects.

What you'll do:

You will be responsible for providing hardware/software installation, startup, maintenance, de-bug and training .

This is a remote role with frequent travel to our customers in Dublin area . Occasional travel to other EMEA locations will be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site hardware/software installation and software pre-configuration of Power Management and control systems and next-generation Power Monitoring platforms
• Work with software configuration engineer on site to implement system integration, installation, start-up, maintenance, de-bugging, pre-configuration, pre-commissioning, FAT. SAT and training
• Work with and provides troubleshooting and technical support for junior Field Service Representatives as they execute jobs in the field
• Technical support to other junior engineers. problem-solving the technical issues on site
• Support lead engineer with a practical solution and execution plan on site
• Demonstrate safety consciousness in equipment handling, electrical and electronic procedures, and the unique situations encountered at diverse work sites. Assist with procurement and maintenance of PPE for field resources
• Provide customers with basic technical support and on-site information via phone or on-site consultation

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science or other related subject
• Familiarity with EPMS/DCIM/ BMS software offerings as well as associated products such as SQL and MS/Linux OS
• Virtualization experience (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Previous experience in a relevant support function ideally in a Data center set up
