Job Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a dedicated EU RFP (Request for Proposal) Specialist and Content Manager who can drive impactful solutions for our customers. This is a fully remote position that requires strong project management skills and a talent for content development. Collaborating with hardworking colleagues worldwide, you will ensure our proposals not only meet our high standards but also stay competitive.

Key Responsibilities:

Project/RFP Management

• End-to-end coordination of designated RFP workload acting as the focal point for the sales team and internal functional areas throughout the RFP and RFI (Request for Information) process.
• Prioritize multiple proposals simultaneously, rigorously adhering to project timelines
• Develop and implement a project plan to complete the written response for the RFP or RFI.
• Coordinate internal resources and support the sales lead in facilitating communication within the proposal team
• Conduct the first-pass review of each proposal, providing answers to questions by researching the appropriate knowledge database, reviewing past proposals, and searching relevant websites.
• Provide comprehensive writing and editing expertise to ensure all aspects of the proposal are accurate, complete, and error-free. Developing business proposals, including RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs (Request for Quotation), ensuring a cohesive, coordinated, and strategic response.
• Act as gatekeeper and project coordinator/manager to compile and submit all customer files. Upload documentation and work within customer-specific portals as needed.
• Lead project debriefings, analyze any issues or problems that occurred during the course of a project, and apply lessons learned to future proposals.
• Train the sales team on the RFP process.

• Develop and maintain the EU RFP content library to enable efficient response to customer RFP's and related questionnaires.
• Support the development of Gene AI for tenders and provide content for the centralized library.
• Leverage Thermo Fisher Scientific's Quality Management software system and Sales Enablement tools for document control where required.
• Ensure content accuracy and quality aligns with company standards and messaging.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and refine content.
• Apply strong verbal and written communication skills
• Evaluate information critically and present it convincingly.
• Develop RFP proposal templates to support EU RFP responses.
• Regularly review and update content to reflect the latest company information, products services and maintain brand integrity.

• Proven experience in Tenders/RFP Management, working in a cross-functional environment.
• Strong project management skills
• Proficient in English; knowledge of an additional language is desirable.
• Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills are critical.
• Demonstrated ability to independently take ownership of initiatives and drive execution.
• Ability to travel, not to exceed 5%.
