Events and Retail Marketing Manager

Tecovas is the first direct-to-consumer western brand, founded with the simple goal of making the world’s best western boots, apparel and leather goods - and selling them at a fair price. We are a brand revolutionizing a category and welcoming first-time boot buyers and western enthusiasts alike. 

Tecovas is looking for an Events and Retail Marketing Manager to bring a passion for translating brands into multi-sensory, immersive experiences across retail, pop-ups, developing and executing strategic marketing that informs and engages. Reporting directly to the Sr Director of Partnerships, you will work closely with our Retail and Partnerships teams to identify and scope the types of events that will drive traffic to our stores. The Events and Retail Marketing Manager will get to know our local audience around each store in order to drive revenue, build potential B2B partnerships, work with other retailers and/or shopping center vendors to showcase our products and create a regular community around our brand, in addition to working with our Retail teams to execute high-impact, successful events.

This position is based out of Austin, TX but will have the ability to work from home and in-office.

What you’ll do:

• Design a retail and event strategy that creates brand awareness, generate leads, and promote sales
• Build strong relationships with customers and 3rd party vendors through high-level communication skills, face to face, email and phone.
• Conduct market research about the brand demographic, store localities, and event strategy per city/store to identify potential opportunities for growth in existing markets or new markets
• Develop marketing plans that set goals for increasing revenue, market share, and brand awareness
• Work cross-functionally with retail partners to discuss performance metrics and identify areas of opportunity
• Improve our ability to synthesize and extract insights from large volumes of data, focusing on data that identifies opportunities for increasing store traffic and sales
• Work collaboratively with retail leaders to develop local market strategy and execute all retail events 
• Develop strong partnerships with all store teams to become the main point of contact for marketing needs

Experience we’re looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related discipline
• 5+ years marketing related experience, ideally in event marketing, retail, demand generation, or sales enablement
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office, Google Suite
• Regular domestic travel required (up to 30%)
• Passionate about Western culture

Tecovas was born out of a love for cowboy boots, their time-honored craftsmanship, rich materials that last, and traditional styling that always looks good. Each pair of Tecovas boots is crafted by hand in over 200 steps. It’s not the easiest or cheapest method, but we’re committed to classic construction techniques that stand the test of time.
