Job Description
To enable business with insightful data / analytics for key decision making related to Procurement Finance; ensure that the spend on Logistics and MRO/GDC is at optimum level to help the business to maximise the Profit through deep dive analysis for cost savings /efficiency improvement; to ensure that the controls are in place with regard to Logistics /MRO/GDC. He/she should collaborate and enable/support cross functional teams.
Roles & Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for the following activities:
Analytics/Business Partnering.
- Review of Procurement savings (Logistics, MRO, GDC operations) & provide to various stakeholders with actionable insight and update to Senior Management on monthly basis for various forums viz., MRM's, CFO Update, BU Head Update etc.,
- Procurement Analytics - Evaluating and monitoring the spent on procurements (logistics/MRO/GDC), its efficiency and comparing them with annual budget on regular basis and coordinating with respective teams and analyzing the reasons for Gaps in order to improve profitability.
- Share insightful data / analytics for key decision making related to Logistics/MRO/Global Distribution center.
- Partner with SCM Team in driving down the Cost of Operations.
- Supporting to SCM on Operational Excellence through ideas and savings validation for various initiatives to drive cost excellence.
- Ensuring effective Governance of Procurement through early warnings and evaluation of alternatives.
- Monthly Review of Freight spend at Route /Molecule/Plant level to drive actionable insights through MIS to improve profitability.
- Review of monthly Global Distribution Center cost to ensure spend is within approved budget.
- To Provide Analytical support on adhoc basis for various business needs.
- Be the Finance (SPoC) for troubleshooting any issues related to logistics/MRO/Global Distribution center operations
Annual Budget Preparation
- Partnering with SCM in firming up TVC Savings, Logistics cost
- Review of Budget Presentations and facilitate effective discussions with top Management.
- Partnering with SCM to enrich the savings Idea Funnel and incorporate relevant ideas into the Budget
- Review and analysis of yearly Logistics/MRO/ GDC budget.
- OE Ideas validation and reporting of savings to HO team
TVC Savings - Latest Estimates
- Preparation of 12M rolling latest estimates on monthly basis
- Analysing the reasons for variance in estimates and engage with internal stakeholders in effective dissemination of MIS reports
- Partnering with SCM team to mitigate the shortfalls and other unforeseen hits.
- Rigorous tracking of committed savings and facilitating course correction
Financial oversight and controls
- Ensure adequate financial oversight and controls on Logistics/MRO/GDC operations
- Meet the audit requirements of Statutory, Sox, Stock Audit and internal audits.
- Review and facilitation for signing-off of the legal documents such as Agreements.
- Develop and implement appropriate SOP's/DOA to achieve dual objectives of facilitating smooth operations as well as robust controls and governance
- Monthly review of outstanding freight provisions with Logistics team
- Single point of contact for all the finance related requirements of Logistics /MRO/Global Distribution Center.
- Ensure set process notes / SOPs are being followed, identify control gaps. Review and develop the process notes in coordination with central finance team.
Automation and Simplification Projects
- Identification of areas within business which can be automated or simplified to generate faster and improved insights
- Part of Core team for Logistics tool implementation
- Support Finance Transformation.
Qualifications
Academic Background and Key Experience Requirements:
A CA with around 4-6 years of experience in month closure activities & controlling
Good accounting acumen
Familiarity with SAP environment
A good understanding of Accounting Standards
Exposure in Manufacturing sector
People Competencies:
Should be self-driven and sense of ownership for its deliverables.
Excellent communication skills
Should be able to work with CFTs
Should be adaptable and flexible in his approach.
Additional Information
