General responsibilities include general accounting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), financial reporting, SOX compliance, audit requests, consolidation & reporting, and special projects. The position reports to the Director, Finance and is located at the Customer Technical Center of Michigan (CTCM) in Auburn Hills, MI.

In addition, the person will support global oversight of the SA&O (includes R&D), which will include coordination and consolidation of the reporting, forecasting, and budget planning of the SA&O function.

Job purpose

General responsibilities include general accounting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), financial reporting, SOX compliance, audit requests, consolidation & reporting, and special projects. The position reports to the Director, Finance and is located at the Customer Technical Center of Michigan (CTCM) in Auburn Hills, MI.

In addition, the person will support global oversight of the SA&O (includes R&D), which will include coordination and consolidation of the reporting, forecasting, and budget planning of the SA&O function.

Key responsibilities

This position works closely with accounting team on consolidation of business unit financials. Supports special projects related to Budget and other ad hoc requests.

• Assist in monthly reporting including Actuals and Forecasts analysis and follow-up utilizing Hyperion.

• Work with Senior Financial Analyst to complete month-end journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Assist in preparation of PTC budget and long-range plan, particular focus on SA&O and R&D functions.

• Participates in the PTC fixed assets control and inventory.

• Monitor key balance sheet accounts (working capital) and income statement.• Special Assignments -Responsible for completion of special assignments as required. Examples include updating HFM reports; creating ad-hoc reports upon request from various functional managers.

What we're looking for

• Working towards a Bachelor in business, preferably with a specialization in Finance or Accounting

• 0-2 years of professional experience (includes internships)

• Must be willing to work up to 30 hours a week, year round

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.

• Knowledge of SAP and/or Hyperion a plus.

• Strong oral/written communication skills• Must be detail oriented with excellent organization skills
