• Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
• May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
• Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
• Applicant must complete a Baseline Pre-Placement Screening for General Schedule positions within 30 days of appointment.
• Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate Tricare Reserve Select eligibility.
• For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
• The incumbent of this position must be certified by the DOD Firefighter Certification system, the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC), or the Pro Board.
• This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration.
• The employee is required to work a 72 hour week on a 48 hour on/72 hour off basis which includes weekends and holidays. 144 hours total a pay period. May be subject to recall.
• Employee must participate in a mandatory physical fitness program.
• This is a Testing Designated Position. The employee is subject to random drug testing (IAW HQ-USAF letter dated 29 Jan 90).
• The work requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver’s license is required.
• Position requires the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth.
